@Dutchy,
It is Remembrance Day here as well - the services will be held in about an hour and a half. I'm hoping we'll already be at the Fair by then. There is usually a good service there as there are a few important memorials on the grounds.

Wishing everyone a fantastical day! I'm trying to play catch up on the forum. Last week was mid-terms, so it kept me way out of the loop!

Beth ... I hope the sun is shining where you're at, as it is in Ohio, today. Go out and have a ton of fun! Oh, and good luck with that new job!

MM ... I hope your had a good birthday! And may you have many, many, more! Happy - happy - happy ones!

FQ ... Hey! Good to see ya onboard. I know what ya mean about bein' busy though! I always think about you guys....... even when my backs against the wall. Enjoy that trip next week!

Missy ... I can just imagine being able to take care of them sweet little babies and get paid for it to boot! Doesn't get much better than that! I hope everyone is back to being healthy in your home!

Dev ..... Hey girlie ..... Always thinking about you and wishing for better times. They will come. Be sure of it! Sending you miles of smiles to put on that sweet face of yours. Your locus of control is more internal than external. That's where you get your empowerment. But you already know that. Our smart counselor! Smile

Dutchy ... I envy your warm weather! Would send you some rain if I could. It was cold enough to snow here last night. (It didn't) Hugs to the beagle!

Alex .... You had an anniversary! How sweet! Sounds like you know how to make the wife happy. I bet you're still doing it 50 years from now!

Verby ... How are things in your world? If I read the thread correctly, I think you're gone this week. Either way ... may it be wonderful!

I’m off out towards Brooke with my rod and I hope to strike lucky if I can keep my end up.

Say, what!? Shocked What would we do on this ship without all the belly-laughs you give us!!! You loveable ole' devil, you! Smootch!

deedee...... I hope you and hubby had a fantastic time at that winery! Speaking of peacocks ... I was sitting at home one evening after dark. I heard a funny noise outside. Dog started barking. I slowly got up. Went to the window. Didn't see anything. Heard the noise again. Turned the porch light on. Got my flashlight and went out to investigate. Lo' and behold there was a peacock sitting up on my roof! No joke! Seems someone over on the next road raises them. Another time I got up in the morning. Still sleepy-eyed. Walked up the hallway and into the living room and caught glimpse of someone or something peering at me through the side-lights on my front door. Again.....it was a peacock. Just sitting there peeking through the glass at me (barely dressed). Cheeky bugger!

Annis ...... A big hug to you. I love your strength. It must be wonderful to have a friend, such as Izz, so close to you. I can't think of too many blessings that are greater than a true friend.

JPB .... Seems you've been riding the "busy train", too. Yet still making time for fun things. Good on you! Hugs!

Miss Iz ..... My goodness what beautiful pictures you share with us! The details you catch in every little thing is awesome! And that video you put together was amazing. I think, you are one of the angels that walk the earth. Truly. And one of these days I'm gonna get my chance to hug the stuffin out of you! Sending soothing, healing, thoughts your way, sis!

Rock ... Love you always! Really hoping things are better for you, too.

Geesh........did I miss anyone???? If so ( I probably did ) it doesn't make you any less important! Love you all!

Have a GREAT day, everyone!

xoxo

Good night sweet folks, I will see you on the morrow, but before I retire to the land of nod, may I on this special day endorse earlier comments and give special mention to : Albert Jacka VC MC and Bar.

On this day of remembering the sick, ill and injured; may the sick keep it to themselves; the ill to keep taking the medicine and to the injured; be more careful.

Talking of which; Brooke sure let the moose loose in the attic when she wrote, “You loveable ole' devil, you! Smootch!”

Now the wires almost melted!!!

Did little miss cutie mean:

The smoot as a nonstandard unit of length created as part of an MIT fraternity prank. It is named after Oliver R. Smoot (class of 1962), a fraternity pledge to Lambda Chi Alpha, who in October 1958 was used by his fraternity brothers to measure the length of the Harvard Bridge between Boston and Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Therefore one smoot is equal to Oliver Smoot's height (five feet and seven inches ~1.70 m). The bridge's length was measured to be 364.4 smoots (620.1 m)

Or did she mean:

Smote:
v.tr.

To drive or strike forcefully onto or into something else.

To uphold a lady’s honor, I could not possibly comment. However, before we get down to some real heavy ‘smooting’ I have to take all necessary precautions…

MizIzz ...... Noah is doing wonderful. Poor lil guy got his first taste of Halloween. He looks at the camera as if to say "What the hell kinda duds you got on me?!" (notice clenched fist...getting ready to bonk someone!)

Hello Brooke, thank you for posting that picture of Noah, he sure looks a handsome cutie, no doubt inherited some of your genes. Nice of you to find the time to post amid your demanding studies. Wish you well. (((Brooke)))

@JustBrooke,
Morning all. What a little cutie Noah is Brooke. Yes, I can relate to the peacock story as mine spends a lot of time on the roof (sounds like he has jackboots on) and he also spends a lot of time looking in the windows (he can see his reflection). Hope everyone is well. Missy glad you are enjoying your job.

@Izzie,
Hi Izzieliz - no papa run today - have youngest brother visiting us all from Western Australia to spend some time with papa and mama so he is going to do the run today. He is staying a week which will be nice especially for mum and dad. We only get to see him every couple of years or so. How you doing?

Good morning sunshine. How are you today?
Thank you for the white roses Izzie. Delicate and soft. Nose print on the screen.
Thank you ehbeth, mismi, verbivore , justbrooke, for the good wishes.
Not just another day.
Green. Somewhere between sage and fern. Room number two. Just one wall, burgundy. Does that make sense to anyone...one wall?
The wind successfully did most of the leaf raking.
It is sure nice to come back on this ship.
Good day.

@Tryagain,
Morning crew, early start today, 5.30am, hand watering my veggie plot. Water restrictions forbid me to turn on a sprinkler!

Sending you vibes and warmth Izzie. ((Captain))

Tryagain, is that you hiding under that cheese?

Verbivore I'm pleased you liked that joke. Smile

Ciao for the moment, will be back later on.
