@deedeexx,
Hey Crew

((jw))

Dev " feel better soon hun " hope you and hubby are coping? No news yet? Hugs.

Ozzies - have a lovely day.

Have spent the evening with a delightful lady - she rang me last nite and asked me to come over tonite .... my Godmother " she’s turned 96 in June.... still drives, is sprightly and has the wisdom of the world. She turns up when I need her most without even knowing what’s going on " strange " she is staying in a local B&B and I go visit her when she is down. We had a lovely meal, talked some and drank tea.

Truly amazing lady

Went and saw Tulip and her Mom on the way back " we laughed " her Mom is hysterical " she makes me laugh a lot!

Tired now... need to sleep.

Wishing everyone a great day tomorrow. Take care wherever, whatever.

Love to all. xox

@Izzie,
Hello Izzie.
Took a few days. I didn't have a clue what you meant. Then it popped into my head, and I looked at the picture.
Yes, definitely dancing pumpkins. Possibly a tango.
Good day.

@alex240101,
Hey, all. Just poppin' in before bed. We're all coping here. Turns out we haven't heard anything on the job front for the hubby is because the guy he'd be reporting to has been out of work due to a death in the family. Turns out hubby is still in the running. Still a lot of waiting! I'll let y'all know when I know anything new.

Wow, what a woman your godmother is! Thanks for sharing the pic. I might just grow up some day if I can be like her when I get there!

@devriesj,
Ahoy Crew!

just back from dance class. Tonight, after a serious workout with the canes (my hands hurrrrrrt) we started voting on whether we'll start on Baladi or Alexandrian dance next. I love them both so will be happy with either decision. Alexandrian might be most appropriate for aboard ship since it is a harbour-town based dance.

Hope you're all cool/warm, dry and comfortable - sleeping well or enjoying your day!

piping everyone aboard!

@ehBeth,
Wow ehBeth, those dances sound great, saw an Egytian performer do the dance of the seven veils at a Birthday party recently, quite convinced the crew would love you to do the Alexandrian. Go back on this thread and look at our very first party, you may get a surprise. Smile

@Dutchy,
wow ehbeth your dance practices sound lovely. do post some video/pics if u can.
I love dance..but somehw the routine doesnt allow!

Izzie: Ur God mother is 96?? She certainly looks quite active for her age! Guess what we say that somehow people get some qualities of their Godmothers/Godfathers..guess you gt her spirit! Mine is a good cook " hopefully Im still waiting to find traces of similarities~

Beagle " You still have to talk about food to advice DDx?? Well im sure her hubby appreciates her for reasons more than that!! Wink We together wud advise you to be of some help to Mrs D than just sit in the patio and njoy the food she serves! Rite DDX???

Try " Guess I can rely on your time any time I need a good laugh! ROFL that was freaking hilarious! Nuts and jelly fish!! Where on earth do u get such ideas from??J
I earnestly request you to write a blog..or shall I open a blog in ur name and copy paste all your hilarious stuff there??

Mismi " Nope im nt even intending to ask about pears!! (LOL) but surely you were so kind with try it sounds! Hope U, professor and the boys are doing great!

JustBrooke - how u doing? Hows school? And Noah..?

Flavor Queen " Hows Ur hubby doing now? Recovering well? Gimme my “Get well soo” too..though ive stepped in a lil late!

Hi alex " those pumpkins of yours have motivated me to make my pumpkin " bean dish!

Dev & Wytv Ive been reading quite a pages back to update myself..but dint find u ..hope u both r doing well! Hows school /counseling going?

Phew that was a long..but mind-refreshing read! Glad to update myself with my folks whereabouts and ofcourse Try’s rib tickling posts!!

About the scene here. Im loving this company true. But im scared as well. It is a bigger challenge and I guess I need to improve myself!
I deeply desire to do an Mphil in English and also study the Chicago manuel of style both are just desires but hopefully ill put them into actions one step at a time. Going back to school is a concern as I cant afford it monetarywise/routinewise..guess what my Eby will think of it! Priorities will change, finance will have to be managed!
Chicago Manuel of Style I plan to buy! It’s a whopping 2500 Rs which is too much for a book as per our current belief! But I guess I’ll buy it neways..only concern is whether I’ll be able to study it without any assistance…

Teach India is still under progress! Its pathetic that even wen we volunteer to spend time for poor they don’t have time to direct us to the lesser fortuned mass.
Ive gt into blogging a lill bit (the URL in my signature). A simple one with self thoughts, places, absurdities of our culture, the descent of religion and stuffs like that. It helped me realize that there are many other who think rationally, who want to give back to the society..they just need a prompt " a company..
Come let us improve our society " and a hand!! Well lets c!

@verbivore,
Just popping on to say hi.

Verbivore ..... Noah is doing exceptionally well. Thank you for asking.

School is ....well...was doing ok till I got a bad grade on a surprise quiz. So not feeling good about that tonight. I have to own responsibility for it. But I feel like a little kid that wants to point fingers at anyone but myself and say .. but...but..but. ( You know the drill ) Monday night I had about 3 1/2 hours sleep. Tuesday night...I had NO sleep. Quiz was wednesday and it was in a class I have in the afternoon. I just had nothing in my brain. Couldn't remember anything. And I KNOW that stuff. Last night I had 4 1/2 hours sleep ( which is more than I usually get these days) and still.......same thing this afternoon. No energy. Sleepy. Lack of concentration. Luckily no tests today. I can't even remember the last time I got a "C" on anything. I think it was before high school even. I can't remember. But that C is gonna pull my grade down and I feel like a stupid flippin idiot. ( because I am)

Not a good day, I guess. --------> will survive.

Really, though........ I hope everyone is doing wonderful I haven't read back to see. I just hope you are.

Gotta do homework.

Hugs. all. around!

xoxo

PS- When is the ships halloween party? I'll check back later to find out!

Thank you

@Izzie,
Yes Captain I think it is time to climb into your hammock, I know you love chocolate, so here is a little bit and your bedtime story. Laughing
Ancient Aztecs and Mayans discovered cocoa beans thousands of years ago. They believed that chocolate had mystical and aphrodisiac qualities. They believed that anyone that consumed chocolate would gain power and knowledge. The Aztec emperor, Montezuma, drank 50 goblets of chocolate a day to enhance his sexual prowess.

The Spanish explorer Cortez was introduced to chocolate and its connection to love in Montezuma's court. Chocolate's libido boosting reputation followed Cortez and the Conquistadors back to Spain where they tried to keep it a secret. Cortez hid cocoa beans in monasteries where the monks cultivated it and started plantations. The secret of chocolate couldn't stay under wraps long and the Spanish turned it into an industry and made it even more popular by adding ingredients to sweeten it up like sugar, vanilla, and wine.

Chocolate became of favorite of the rich and elite. It flourished in the French courts in the 18th century and the art and literature of the time was full of rich and erotic imagery tying sex and chocolate together even more. The Marquis de Sade mixed the erotic qualities of chocolate with its ability to disguise poisons. The famous lover Casanova was reputed to have consumed chocolate to boost his libido and stamina before seducing his conquests.

Today lovers frequently exchange chocolates on romantic occasions and women, who seem to be more susceptible to chocolate's effect, have an ongoing affair with the sweet, velvety richness of chocolate.
So is chocolate really an aphrodisiac? Many scientists have been trying to prove it and are slowly unlocking chocolate's secrets.

Good Night Possum.

ps. Hi there Brooke, you sneaked in behind my back, hope you get a good night's rest tonight. Don't overdo your studies, been there done that, doesn't work. Hugs from downunder.

@Dutchy,
BEAgle!!! U better send some chocolates right now!!!!!!!!!! O man y did i ever read it!
Here il let out a secret to the crew!!! Mind you its a secret!!! not even ma hubby knows about it! I just have to say somewhere you knw!

I have ths strange attraction to Scorpions! My brother is a scorpion..and he doesnt talk to me! So somewhat in those lines! Im fascinated by their power and handling of things! I adore them! But i simply cant maintain a relation with them! It goes haywire at the end of the day no matter how soft i tread!
so here was this scorpion my team leader! A scorpion! U guessed it i was impressed/attracted whatever..but somehow every action of his reflected my brothers mannerisms in it and i was loud about it..he obviously dint like it ..connecting brotherly thoughts & affection for him. But for me yeah i was actually sieng my brother in him, rejoicing the fact that even if ma bro doesnt talk to me..my missing is lessened by ths scorpion..

but there ends the story! he never gets in touch no matter how I try! Ive left the effort..but somehow couldnt leave the thought! his bday is on the coming 29th of Oct. No matter how hard i tried i couldnt keep quiet. I set on an adventorous silent gift! I dnt want to reveal my name. since hes turning 25! I bought 25 different chocolates..wrapped each seperately, wrapped the box with a card! and went to the courier agancy! Lo they wont deliver food items!

I dare not take 1.15 Kg chocolates to ma home..my hubby would immediately set off for the divorce papers..I went to a second courier fellow lied to him that it was "books"..glad he bought my lie ..scared what will happen if finds the truth i completed the formalities and Lo next blow. I had to write my n ame and address n the back of the wrap..I tried convincing him that i was planning for a surprise gift in vain.. and i ended up paying almost 50% for what i paid for the chocolates just for the courier!

So 25 chocolate bars are on their way to my scorpion friend who is just not interested in being in touch! (( ofcourse he has better things to do in life than cater to a girls "sibling" feeling))
