I love the whole mental thing about you. Makes me a bit off balance...kind of like being drunk. tsk tsk tsk.

I just got back from the grocery - I bought two weeks worth of groceries...I should not have to go back except for milk, and fresh fruit and veggies. I am always so happy to have that shopping trip behind me...pain in the - you-know-what. SO tired. But - we save so much money doing it that way...and I am prepared...I am a couple of cubscouts mom. I love being prepared.

Had a meeting with the twins teacher this morning. It went well. She loves them...and why wouldn't she? They are such good boys!

I have baseball and cubscouts tonight...not sure how much I will or won't be here...not even sure how to do dinner to be honest. It's going to be a bit crazy.

Gotta' go....Mexican Fiesta day at school tomorrah...may not be here much.

Hugs to you all...

@mismi,
Hope everyone is ok! Just don't seem to have the time to keep up to date with things!

Looks like Autumn is on it's way

J. Keats

CCLV. Ode to Autumn

SEASON of mists and mellow fruitfulness,
Close bosom-friend of the maturing sun;
Conspiring with him how to load and bless
With fruit the vines that round the thatch-eaves run;
To bend with apples the moss'd cottage-trees, 5
And fill all fruit with ripeness to the core;
To swell the gourd, and plump the hazel shells
With a sweet kernel; to set budding more,
And still more, later flowers for the bees,
Until they think warm days will never cease; 10
For Summer has o'erbrimm'd their clammy cells.

Who hath not seen thee oft amid thy store?
Sometimes whoever seeks abroad may find
Thee sitting careless on a granary floor,
Thy hair soft-lifted by the winnowing wind; 15
Or on a half-reap'd furrow sound asleep,
Drowsed with the fume of poppies, while thy hook
Spares the next swath and all its twinèd flowers:
And sometimes like a gleaner thou dost keep
Steady thy laden head across a brook; 20
Or by a cyder-press, with patient look,
Thou watchest the last oozings, hours by hours.

Where are the songs of Spring? Ay, where are they?
Think not of them, thou hast thy music too,"
While barrèd clouds bloom the soft-dying day 25
And touch the stubble-plains with rosy hue;
Then in a wailful choir the small gnats mourn
Among the river-sallows, borne aloft
Or sinking as the light wind lives or dies;
And full-grown lambs loud bleat from hilly bourn; 30
Hedge-crickets sing; and now with treble soft
The redbreast whistles from a garden-croft;
And gathering swallows twitter in the skies.

@whiteviolet,
My next door neighbor's 110 lb yellow lab jumped the fence SIX times this afternoon. They are not home and I had to keep getting him and putting him back in. He has a man crush on Pistol...drives me nuts. Getting that dog back up the hill and putting him back in the fence every time was a feat- I finally ended up tying him to their dog lead. I have to go out and check on him every few minutes...but I am pooped. And I smell like a wet dog...he got in the lake before I could catch him last time. Pew.

Well I worked off my taco from lunch anyway...silver lining and all that. Wink

So good to see you Annis...hope all is going well with you. ((Annis))

Hugs to Izzie-thoughts and prayers are with you hun.

White Vi - hope you have had a good day -

I may or may not be here this evening..depends on how tired I am and if the Prof is hogging the computer...which happens sometimes.

Hugs to the rest of the crew - hope you all are doing well.

@mismi,
Hey Crew....

Just wanted to let you know that our Bosun BEAgle is a little poorly right now - I know y'all are worrying for him... so... I did hear from him yesterday and he may not be back for a day or two. He's got one of those nasty bugs but I'm sure as soon as he's able, he will be back online.

Will be ringing him if I don't hear from him by Thursday...you know, just to make sure he's keeping up with his deckhand chores onshore - in the meantime - lots of healing thoughts crew for our BEAgle Bosun. We love ya BEAgle. x

I also read that Roger has been poorly too, Roberta is fighting her fight right now.... and of course Edgar, Mac11 and the Pdiddies who are in Houston....my niece also who I can't reach right now....

so.... if you will, lots of posivibes to everyone, including Mrs.24 with her pinching nerve.

There's a lot going on right now... positive energy needed for one and all who need it and have a little extra to share, and strength to Baby Noah too.

You're the best, crew. x

@Izzie,
Tuesday. Hello Izzie. Thank you for the whereabouts of Dutchy. I was wondering.
Tuesday. I faired decently...although my cupcake went missing.
My better half is ninety nine point nine percent healed. Another thank you for your regards.
Annis is correct. Fall is on its way. Had to shower off the leaf burning cologne already.
Closing my eyes and sending out a lightning bolt of positive energy, to my adopted able2know family. Around the world, and around again.
Until tomorrow.

Nice poem Annis.

Get well soon Dutchy; you are needed back here pronto.

Good news about your cousin Lzzie; it’s a mighty big mess down there.

A little known fact:

North Carolina Cherokees served in the American Civil War as part of Thomas's Legion. Thomas's Legion consisted of infantry, cavalry, and artillery.

The legion mustered approximately 2,000 men of both Cherokee and white origin, fighting on behalf of the Confederacy, primarily in Virginia, where their battle record was outstanding.

Thomas's Legion was the last Confederate unit in the eastern theater of the war to surrender after capturing Waynesville, North Carolina on May 9, 1865. They agreed to cease hostilities on the condition of being allowed to retain their arms for hunting.

This, together with Stand Watie the chief of the Southern Cherokee Nation's surrender of western forces on July 23, 1865, gave the Cherokees the distinction of being the very last Confederates to capitulate in both theaters of the Civil War.

Go Pocahontas!

Well, Mis, actually I had an interesting day! I've been carefully dodging my admirer for several weeks but he caught up with me today and then bombarded me with chat and emails! He's so attractive but I mustn't...

@Izzie,
Hello crew, the Beagle has just left his hammock after the 'kiss of life' from Izzie, and feeling a much improved human being today. Still coughing and spluttering but happy to be able to effect a few posts. Despite having had my shots that dreaded Asian Flu knocked me for six but things can only get better from here on in. Thank you all for your best wishes and interest, the bosun appreciated it very much indeed, smooches and hugs all around.
