Ah well, that would be the Great White North aka Canada. We had some melting today (and I just heard some great chunks of ice falling off the roof) but according to the weatherman we're in for more nasty weather tonight and tomorrow. I can only hope that this is March coming in like a lion and we'll be getting some lamb-like weather soon. Here's an idea of what the worst of our winter looked like in January:

Wow - that certainly looks cold - far opposite of here. Where we are we only have snow if we go up into the mountains in winter. I think I was 22 years old before I ever saw snow. In my teen years I used to have a pen pal from a place called Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. Never forgot the name!! Smile

Moose Jaw's a great name, isn't it? I've never been to Saskatchewan but I grew up in an area almost as flat as the prairies -- southwestern Ontario. I still live in Ontario, about an hour or so north of Toronto, the provincial capital.

Never been to Canada. Friends of mine have done the train thru the rockies - said it was fantastic. Only been to west and east coast of USA plus Key West, Miami and Greenville South Carolina. Luved the iced tea! Oh and New Orleans - luved the food there.

Tai Chi - That is some serious snow...never seen anything like it in my life...not in person anyway! It really is pretty - though I know it must get old...though I can't imagine that!

Here are some pics of my babies and the puppy - Biscuit (she's a burnt biscuit though)

Great looking kids mismi, no wonder you're proud of them.

Loved your photo Tai Chai, is that the snow-plough you've been talking about?

TTH what's going on, it's 4am in the morning and you're still wandering about the deck, are you sleepwalking or looking for company? I may have to take you down to your bunk below and put you to sleep in the hammock with a swig of rum. Laughing

Oh that so got me thinking (yh yh - I know that's dangerous)! Laughing

Bigfoot, (aka IzzieBigBerthaFeet) Shocked also known as Sasquatch, is a figure in North American folklore alleged to inhabit remote forests, mainly in the Pacific northwest region of the United States and the Canadian province of British Columbia. In northern Wisconsin, Lakota Indians know the creature by the name Chiye-tanka, a Lakota name for "Big Elder Brother"[1]. Bigfoot is sometimes described as a large, hairy bipedal hominoid, and some believe that this animal, or its close relatives, may be found around the world under different regional names, such as the Yeti of Tibet and Nepal, the Yeren of mainland China, and the Yowie of Australia.

Well, this IzzieSasquatch is visiting all the places virtually right now, along with a few "Y-OWIES" along the way - HOW HAPPY IS THAT. Very Happy

As for Moose Jaw - well, JABBER JAW - thatsme. What great names of places to live!

TaiChi - okey dokey ---------- now, that's what I call SNOW. Shocked It is very lovely to look at - but I can imagine that my "snow-thru-rose-coloured-specs" Rolling Eyes is a little easier to look at than thru your specs which may need to prevent snow-blindness. OOOOooh - that does look a lot of snow!

(BTW - how did the orthotic fitting go… did you get sorted and get some comfy shoooooz) Smile

Well, I can see that TTHun and The Bear were on Ship's Watch last nite - taking a stroll along the deck and keeping us heading into open water. Thanku both. Smile

Wandel - still hearing that song in my head - thanking you muchly. Smile

NOW - EXCITEMENT IS BUILDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have children and biscuits on board. OMWord - how gorgeous are they all (Biscuit cannot possibly be a BabyBlue throwback - he's sleek and shiny too - and just as cute - I know the BlueBoy can be a bit of an 'ole hound - but he just needs a little tummy rub too and he'd lie down and roll-over!) Razz

(mismi - your kids are just brilliant. I love the laughter in their eyes. Smile )

So, kids party on board today…

Today we call a mutiny on board and we are the Yabber Pirate Ship

http://img522.imageshack.us/img522/3548/pirateshipqu9.jpg

http://img143.imageshack.us/img143/7592/piratetn6.jpg

There will be all manner of games and dressing up so, c'mon crew - let's see what you can do!

http://img205.imageshack.us/img205/7362/pirateplankvw1.jpg

And if the BlueBoy……. Cool

http://img205.imageshack.us/img205/5921/piratelegtr4.jpg

steps, stomps, steps, stomps out of line ….
Then he can show us just how funny it is to walk the plank… and feed the plankton! (oh - Bear - can you look after his parrot please.)

Oh…… Shore leave permitted to attend Norman Island...

http://img522.imageshack.us/img522/5981/arial6dx5.jpg

(Just how cool does that place look - and such wonderfully named islands I might add!
Shocked
And dinner will be served here, at the Pirates Bight!

http://img215.imageshack.us/img215/9053/pirate53kd5.jpg

So trusty crew - good day's to you all and tho I have time a plenty to play on here - I trust your days will be a little better spent, making the world go round.

Hope to see y'all a little later. Hope the sailing is plain, wherever you are. Smile

(Please all keep an ORCA watch near TTHun - how I would LOVE to see those for real. Truly blessed hunni. It really is not far to Never Never Land! Thanku for the music - I adore Christopher Cross. Smile
