"YABBER-LINER" - ALL ABOARD

Thanku Special Agent... it must've worked. I closed my eyes after the last post I made, just for a second. I woke up and hour and half later, sitting up with my fingers still on the keyboard...... couldn't believe it!

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD MOOOOOOOOOOOOOORNING...

I love the seasons too. The Spring and Fall are my favourite times - all the multitude of greens of the spring and the browns, yellows and oranges of the Autumn - love it.

It's grey and rainy here today - but mild. Awoke with all that I need to do today flying around. Got a credit card bill and noticed I have been double charged for all my domestic US flights and double my car hire bill too. Need to make some phonecalls stateside when the US awakens methinks. MMmmmmm - nuisance value!!!!

OHHHHHH - the phone rang thismorning..... MY NEW BED ARRIVES TOMORROW. You know when you have to make changes (well, you maybe don't) - well, out with the old and in with the new and all that...... well, I have always wanted an old iron bed.... I mean one that looks like it has been weathered in the British rain for at least 50 years.... SO I ORDERED ONE a while back - how happy is that. Tomorrow will be a happy day - my OLD bedstead..... gone gone gone..... my old sofa gone gone gone, my old house gone gone gone - the old furniture gone, gone, gone (not replaced) - next, THE CAR (the beast - mmmmmm not too sure how to do that, but will figure it no doubt.) I kinda have a feeling some more things are going to be changing soon to. That's fine.

Funny - didn't realise what FINE meant.... FQsis put me straight on FINE. Will save that for now. FINE needs to go to.

Still have so many photos to post and will get round to it soon.

Hoping and wishing everyone has a wonderful day - FQsis had the best holiday, did them all the world of good - so, so pleased for her.

We went to visit RH in Kansas - we had such a good time...

Whilst we were there we were introduced to a very good friend of his and his family. These folk were fantastic - they were so happy to show us round their fascinating property - so excited to meet us - and it was such a pleasure for us to meet them. The house was in a neighbourhood which looked..... like any other neighbourhood. However, as soon as you drove in, you knew there was something quite different about this place and the family there. The garden leads down to the river (which unfortunately I couldn't get to due to the mozzies.... and not just a few of them) was incredible. Stunning flowers and bugs all over, VW engines and cars dotted around and very unusual sculptures created by the owners late wife. He breeds fish and has many unusual birds all over. The house was like Mr Magoriums Magic Emporium.

so.... a few of the fleurs 'n bugs... hope they won't bore you - it really was very lovely there.

This is one of the most amazing works of art… yep " it’s a bathroom " it took 3 years to do this by the owner " painstaking details " and just incredible to look at…








This was made by African finches " they would given the birds threads and they would weave these nests and be able to hideaway " they used to choose which colours they would use…



The owners wife was a sculptor… she died 7 years ago but he has her work dotted all over the property. Some of these pieces, tho not to everyones tastes, are quite beautiful…

Great to see verbivore making it back to the ship, thought for a moment my directions were Double Dutch, and you couldn't figure it out. Hope that job turns up for you soon. Don't lose that grip!

I am sure your wife will be most appreciative Dutchy! Ahhhh I envy you the Spring...Summer is kind of tired right now. It is ready to fall into Fall I'm thinkin'.

It's so muggy here....and because it is so nasty outside I have had to keep my two canine children in their play yard. But Biscuit jumped it and went and pooped in my laundry room. Now my laundry room smells like poop. And I mopped and sprayed air freshener. I think I have that smell stuck in my nose. gross. I took them out...but apparently didn't wait long enough for her to take care of the more serious business. So I let her off the hook - but gross.

Hub just took the kids to Skate Night and I am about to go to eat Mexican with my girl friends. I am very excited. I need to go make myself look presentable...

Missy - posted at the same time. How are you? I am all over nasty bug now and hanging out for spring. Enjoy your mexican ( I am actually making some for tomorrow night's meal - hubby and son-in-law have gone away for a few days on business and daughter and I are indulging in the meals we like). I am fine thank you DeeDee...things are crazy as usual around here. But A2K is habit with me and I miss y'all if I don't see you so I have to come check!

I am - seriously - I am about to go clean the house (pick up, light dust, vacuum, spot clean) then paint my bathroom. I have been putting it off for months. I got the hard part done...which was the sanding. Now I have to go tape the edges (I hate that part too) and then paint it. I will be so happy to have it behind me...it is a MUST. I will feel tons better. So...wish me well.

How is everyone?

Good to see our Ozzies, Mis and the Queen...

Have been trying to sort out leaking loos here (pffft) , non-delivery of bed (pfffftsttsttttstpft) , shopping missing from order (ppfppfffpfpppppttttttsttstftttsft) and had visitors (happy). Hey ho. Not the day I was quiet expecting.

Haven't figured out when I am meant to be starting work yet....could be Monday, could be Tuesday. Lots to do before then too. Want to change my car.... may do that tomorrow and have to go get my laptop. Oh also have to go to little fella's school and buy his new school uniform (ugh).... ooooh, just a pile of things to be sorted. See Occupational Health on Friday - haven't seen the work doc since January....

Gotta dash right now - little fella needs fed.
