Son of Eva will make new friends with no probs at all - look how he and the little fella hit it off immediately. He's such a good kid and has a great personality and laughter comes naturally with him. Don't you worry - he will do well. He's growing up a? I think boys can struggle as much as the girlies do - in some ways it can be more difficult for boys - girls can scream and cry and throw a hissy fit... boys at their age find it a little harder to do that, even when they want to. Girls on the other hand struggle with their friendships in a different way to the boys. Hard for both. They all seem to pull thru tho - it's more our fears for them and knowing there is nothing we can do to make it all a plain sail for them.

Oh, I know you're right. It's just hard watching him go through all this. You know how it is.

SonofEva is an easy-going sort and never has any trouble making friends. Like his mother, though, he's not the type that hangs out with a certain crowd. He handpicks his friends from different cliques, and he tends to favor independents. The cliques have remained the same since last year in middle school, so those kids aren't going through this type of social transition. Independent kids have a more complicated time of it. Still, I'm proud of him for judging people on his own terms rather than following the crowd. I think that will serve him well in years to come.

The next few weeks, though....

Oh oh and oh...

It's nearly 8am... and I haven't slept yet. Why is that a? Well, nah - I kinda know why - and can't do much about it - but it's a nuisance coz I need to sleep - but I feel awake. Brain obviously isn't being used enough or too much... and sleep eludes me or I elude it. It's a grey 'ole day outside, river is running high but the birds are singing merrily.
