Hi all, just poppin' in for what feels like a "long winter's nap"! Guess I needed it. What's going on in the world out there?

You got a nap Dev? That is great - so glad. I could probably use one of those myself. Just lookin at my posts and noticing all my typos. I am in a lovely mood.

And ,yep, got the paper in. I think it sucked, but we used them in class to promote discussion. So, it's all good. Haven't checked all the yabbering today. Is it a good mood or a bad one?

speaking of shuffleboard...

Last weekend Izzie, S_, Rock and I went to dinner at a great place with some pool tables and a shuffleboard table (the food was amazing). After a couple games of pool, S_ asked the waitress about using the shuffleboard table. The charge was per hour and we were only going to be there for a little while longer so the consensus was 'nevermind'.

Is anyone here surprised that the waitress was so wowed by the charm of S_ that she winked at RH and suggested that she bring over the stones(?) and let them play gratis for a bit?

Due to the lighting, I'm not sure Izzie was able to capture good pictures of RH and S_ playing shuffleboard but a was a sight to be seen.

I don't think I've seen a tabletop shuffleboard for over 30 years (last time was when I was a chaperone for an air cadet dance, and the boys were frightened by the wrenettes).

There are a few of the giant ground ones near the lawn bowling courts here.

Oh my - what a long journey - but actually a good journey - very much easier than the flights out - thoroughly exhausted now - just had to let you know we were safe before I go shower and put myself to bed for a while. Little fella did really well - only 3 hours sleep in 27 hours...... he's gone over to his Dad's to have a snooze. BigBoy phoned me when I got in to ask if we had a nice time. He was genuinely interested. I feel good.

I miss being in the US - I miss the folks I did not even meet - and I miss the folks I did meet - SOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH.

Tired now - need to head for the bed.
