WE'RE HERE....................................................... WE'VE BEACHED AT THE ROCKS AND HAVE SETTLED IN NICELY. OESTROGEN IS ABUNDANT IN THE HOUSE!!!!!!!!


We got to the airport after a 3 hour rainy and very wet drive from Arkansas and as we went into the airport Eva was there. FAB FAB FAB. JPB arrived from her flight and we all piled over to Eva's house - gosh, what an amazing house and history. So great.


Had a wonderful lunch with Eva and Son of Eva - what beautiful people - Son Of Eva and the little fella got on fab (hero worship of Son Of Eva by the little guy) and we had a good 'ole yabber. Eva is gorgeous. So nice to hug her for real. Very blessed to have met her.

Then we got in the car and headed upstate to Kansas and arrived at RH house - met the Stinkster and are now going to have a cuppa tea. Just so good to be here. RH has gone to so much trouble to make us welcome - but he doesn't need to - we are so happy to be with him and JPB. Wish you all could be here - have missed you like mad. Will try and post stories of travels later.

Nice weather here in Michigan today. Have two plans, but, my evening is free, so far. Spin the wheel, or listen to my better half?
The rabbitts are back. I know this because my hollyhocks have been zealously pruned....and the small dog that was in my backyard the other day wasn't a small dog. One porcine rabbit.

Hey, to the rest of the crew. It's gonna be another gorgeous day in Kansas. First on the agenda will be a visit to the weekly farmer's market and a few errands in town. I also heard some mention of a trip to the zoo for the little fella but I'm not sure if that's on for today. We're also going to meet some special local friends of RH's and see some area sites.

Oh -- and tomorrow we get to meet a very, very special lady which just might be the highlight of the weekend outside of getting to spend time with RH, Izzie, and young S (who is a treasure, of course).

Have I mentioned how glad I am to be here?

Aha! So THIS is where you all are! (How have I missed this thread for so long?)

JPB, Izzie and the little fella were here for lunch yesterday...not long enough at ALL, if you ask me...but it was a lovely time. I met them at the airport and had them follow me everywhere. Much easier since they were only here for a few hours. No sense figuring out maps for that amount of time.

It was great to see JPB again, if only for a short visit. We always seem to be on the same wavelength. Feels like we've been good friends forever. Izzie is a tiny little thing! So pretty and petite and just adorable! I wish you could have seen her when she met JPB. The two of them in the biggest hug...with JPB bending down and Izzie standing on tippytoes. What a sight! Little fella and I stood there watching, and his eyes got all huge and he said, "Wow, she IS tall!"

Little fella was bright and funny and expressive, and very good company. I can see why Izzie wanted to take him traveling. He's a trooper. There was four years' difference between him and SonofEva. Just right for hero worship. SonofEva loved it! (That's my boy!) He has always been good with younger kids. The two of them ran around and chased each other and played chess and piano and all sorts of things. SonofEva really liked him and hopes to see him again. They had a great time...

While the three of us ladies talked. It just wasn't long enough.

I wanted to take everyone to lunch, but JPB beat me to the tab. That was generous, but all wrong. Must remember to give her the big speech about "southern hospitality" and all that jazz. Momma would've been horrified...out of town guests, and they paid their own tab?! (shudders)

Izzie, please apologize to the little fella again about the bacon in the potato soup. It didn't occur to me. (He's vegetarian.) I really am sorry. Hey, wait! JPB treated us to lunch, so technically, it's HER fault! :l0l: YAY! I'm off the hook!

Izzie took a couple of pictures at lunch, but JPB may not let her post them. J and I frequently do not photograph well. (I didn't look at them. :-) )

I wish you all could have been there.

No I don't. That would've meant we'd have had even LESS time to talk to each other. I'll just say this. These are two very special ladies. Of course, I knew that beforehand because they're wonders here on A2K. But they're even more delightful in person.
