"YABBER-LINER" - ALL ABOARD

I drank all the beer....but there you go Alex...nice mug of ale...

k...crappy day. Professor called and told me that the air-conditioner has gone kaput and that they want to put in a whole new one. Makes me want to barf. I am getting back as early as I can in the morning and calling and letting them know what I know and see if it changes anything. The professor - though a lovely man and quite sweet - not real good with the technical things. I am the daughter of an electrician and Daddy is a chief tinkerer. Can fix just about anything. He gave me quesitions to ask and such - we'll see if it helps. I pray I pray I pray I pray...

SO...I got to the beach last Wednesday...probably around 5:30pm. The sun was at a great place and I sat and drank my Margaritas and ate chips and salsa...we then went back up to the house and cooked dinner. It was great. We were tired and headed to bed. The next day I got up went running (I know - I never run - something about the beach though) and then got a shower, got my suit on and bagged up the towels chairs and ice chests - Me and two of my girls walked down...and we laid...and laid and laid - we flipped then laid somemore..opened a beer, laid and went to the water and played then back and laid...sounds exciting yes? Kind of like that until lunch...went in and ate came back and did the same all over again. That night we had fish...black grouper. We took lemons lined the bottom of tin foil with them then put the fish. We brushed them with olive oil then put several sprigs of thyme on top...sealed them and cooked them for 20 min. We then saute'd tomatoes and garlic seasoned with salt and pepper and poured it over the top of the grouper. We had an amazing salad and gourmet cheese grits with Kim Crawford (2) bottle of wine. Then we had creme de mint brownies - do you see now why I had to get up and run? So good. Then we played Spades...me and my partner got our butts kicked. Oh...two more of my girlfriends had gotten there by now. After Spades...we went to bed.

Well - YOU WON'T BELIEVE THIS.... the fella from Beachcomber Island (hes Canadian) - we've been yabbering for an hour - how brilliant. He just sent me a pic - OH - I am just buzzing... when I got home from travelling I had a pic made into a canvas of the island - he's got it up on his office - framed, on the wall - the one I sent him - how happy!!!! He's just emailed me a photo of it - and I have the same one on my wall (which is now in a box...... somewhere). Isn't that just incredible. OK - I know I'm doing the excitable bit - but travelling was one of the best times of my life - and it's just brought back so many memories.


AND THEN - to top off the nite - I had a visitor before I left the house. So we've been yabbering for an hour or so.

It's gone 2am and I have to be up in just over 4 hours.... OH NO NO NO - OH YEA OH YEA OH YEA.....

I gotta go to sleep - Ship's Log - LOGGED - HAPPY!

Dutchy - you really want to try it. I made it to serve with tuna steaks which was yum but it would go nice on many things. Going out to have my hair done this afternoon whilst mama is listening for munchkin after I have put him down (in about one hour). Being shouted out for dinner and a show (Guys and Dolls) this Saturday evening by clients of hubbys so decided to stay in town and make a weekend of it. Staying at the beautiful old hotel, The Windsor.

Sounds like a great weekend coming up ddxx, the Windsor in Spring Street near Fitzroy Gardens is that the one you're referring to? Hubby will probably pick up a footy game.

Yes Dutchy that's the one and don't moz me with FOOOOOOTYYY I am looking forward to a nice lunch at the casino and then a movie at goldclub to finish off nice weekend. (He can catch up on the footy when we get home)

Hey mis......your trip sounded wonderful. Safe trip home. And good luck on figuring out the air conditioner problem. I'm sure it's fixable. Unless the cost to repair isn't feasible due to age.

Well, 3 hours sleep and I'll be wiped out in about 4 hours I reckon! But hey, you only live once a? And... it looks for the moment like I'm still connected to the internet...... who knows when they cut it off tho!

Could I settle down last nite?? - nah - brain was just ticking over at a rate of knots - went to get the little fella up for school this morning and his eyes are terrible - very swollen and red - no waaaaaaaaaaaaay can he go to school today (secretly wanted to keep him off today anyway so will get his antibiotic drops in and hope they improve during the day)!

Don't know about butterflies in my tummy - if they are butterflies they are those massive tropical ones.... feel all kinda funny inside right now.


So - sooooooooooooooo much to do.

Oh hey Babbling - every time I hear my little brook beside me and see the sun glinting off the water, I shall be thinking of you. New chapter in my life.... well, it seems the world is opening up to me right now so this is just the start of the next chapter. And how good it all is right this minute.

Oh hunni - I am flying right now - such a good feeling. S-boy is here with me - he misses his godmother but we are doing this together - had some boxes delivered early thismorning and they have started moving into the Beeches already!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
