I love art deco - will post a pic tomorrow of my kitchen tiles!!!!! As FQsis and some here know - Charles Rennie Mackintosh is "my thing" - cups/mugs/pictures - the works! I am looking at the picture FQ gave me for my 40th B/day - it hangs beside my bed - just beautiful. (oh - that's my little fella's happy flower hanging off the light!!!)

Izzieliz - you're not going to believe this but I absolutely adore art deco - I also paint and have done so many paintings for friends and relies of Gustav Klimpts work and that pic you just showed looked very much like one of his or painted in the same mode. wow!!

Yeah - probably one of his most famous. Love his work. They called him the world's oldest hippie. Copies of my art work are on another computer so when I can I will send you some pics. I luv painting in all mediums but funny enough all the young ones (meaning my son and daughters age) all love abstracts, bright colours and lots and lots of medium so the paintings all have a LOT of texture.

DDXX the closest I could come is Duke Ellington playing A night at the Cotton Club. Not bad for starters, I'm sure Rockhead, our local D/J, will find some good stuff in due course..

Yep - me too - it sounds like my little fella - his work is plain, not complicated - but abstract. Uses a lot of colour andtexture - but there is always a touch of black somewhere. He has done art therapy as he relates well to art - he's quite a little star (no bias .... none. .. whatsoever :wink: )
