@vonny,
Thanks. If listening to power tools and radio 1 played at high volume is your idea of a lovely day, then I've had one.

@izzythepush,

Are you all weathertight now chez Izzy?

All this talk of windows reminded me of a Scottish saying:

"Cheerio! And if I don't see you through the week, I'll see you through the windae."

@McTag,
Not remotely. It's just two blokes, and they're doing a room at a time. They won't be done until the end of next week.

@izzythepush,
How was your birthday Izzy? And, the reno's ....

Please do tell.

I just contacted Ms Izzie to say the following so for everyone else Smile Copy and pasted from First Word.

DUTCHY!

Well bless him, he has his phone now re-connected with the new network BUT not the Internet, another 3-5 working days, crossing fingers for him it is 3.

He changed it because, he could not dial 000 for some reason ( ambulance ) and off course, he needs to be able to do that.

He sounded AWESOME and bright but still is having trouble walking he said, and he said I could write this so I am.. He's the BOSS.

Do I follow that with PFTTTTT?

Smile

Watch out, in less than a week our Eagle will fly around here, yet again ...
Smile

@FOUND SOUL,
My birthday was about as good as it could be under the circumstances. Thanks for asking. They will be a least another week if not longer. At the moment they've finished the inside work upstairs and are doing the outside stuff. The downstairs windows won't be ready to be installed until Tuesday/Wednesday at the earliest.

@Izzie,
I agree izzie. As soon as I heard the news I switched to Sky Sports because I know I am too sensitive to watch the last rites.

Did you see the cat stalk behind Mr Cameron as he was delivering his eulogy. It seems that he has ordered the flag on Downing Street to be lowered to half mast.

Poor Osborne eh? It was his big day before the tragic event occurred.

Us pensioners got a 3 quid rise from next April and the young were informed that they are to work until they drop.

@FOUND SOUL,
Hello Crew, the Bosun is back only thanks to a generous gesture by Found Soul who presented me with a 4G broadband stick which should see me through until I'm back on line. Amazing that in this day and age an ISP can't find me a slot to go on broadband. In the meantime I was able to watch the entire 2nd Tests Cricket Match from our new Adelaide Oval. You're right Spendius it would appear your bet is coming off, your boys are just not up to it. I don't know how they're going to survive the 3rd Test in Perth, where the temperature is forecast as 38 degrees for the entire 5 day match. Oy,oy, Aussie, Aussie. Smile

G’day Dutchy sport, ripper to see you back on board and may your recovery continue apace.

Thank you FS for making it so.

Missy has been quite morose during your confinement and couldn’t decide iffin’ she was procrastinating or incentivizing her productivity. In the morning she wants’ to sleep more, in the afternoon she is dying to sleep and at night she is too tired to sleep. Go figure!

However she did manage to teach the cat to do anything it wants to do….. and her skirt looks good on the bathroom floor!!!

Festive greetings to all crew; may your dreams come true. X

@Tryagain,
G'day mismi, Izzie, Vonny and tryagain. Good to be back and seeing you all. The Bosun is going along fine mismi, feeling ok only problem is walking, struggling a bit with that. Determined though to make it to Port Lincoln and spend Christmas wit my son and family. I can't resist the invite as he has promised me all the delicious seafood Port Lincoln has to offer, and I'm talking of Lobster, Prawns, Oysters, Abalone, Gar fish and King George Whiting etc. Will try to make some pictures and post them in due course.

@Dutchy,
Good morning, Dutchy. Glad you are still determined to make it to Port Lincoln - pity the Yabber-Liner needs her barnacles scraping - you could have sailed her there with a full complement of crew! And we could have stocked up the ship's freezers with lots of delicious seafood - mmmmmmmmm - you're in for a real feast when you see your son! Laughing

Ah well, once you are back, after Christmas, we can all get together and make a massive effort at getting the old boat shipshape - she's languishing in dry dock at the moment - feeling forgotten! Crying or Very sad

The crew are scattered far and wide - no Bosun and only occasional sightings of our worthy Captain recently - we need you back at the helm to pull the whole thing together - looking forward to the New Year!
