@spendius,
Too Freudian for me - or are you a Jung man? Overthinking things is the modern disease - or unease - or whatever you want to read into it - but generalisations like that are depressing!

Pecking peanut picnics Shocked Good golly gosh – my sensibilities are all over the place! Wink

Good Evening Crew Very Happy

The Bosun would be warmed to see all the yabbering going on:

First Up, spoke to daughter-in-law and Anna tonight. I’m afraid there’s no change as such – the machines are doing the breathing still (this greatly upset Anna and is frustrating and disheartening for them all) – but of course, medically, it is the right thing to do. DIL assured me Anna was holding up well and of course, when I spoke to her, yep... she’s grand (as can be). Danny is comfortable and, tho this has been unexpected, he really is comfortable and not in pain. Sleeping right now is what’s best for him. (Plan B is doing it's plan). Anna and DIL are going to the hospital early this morning to meet with the surgeon/cardio specialists and will hope the get some more answers and ... I pray... some encouraging news. DIL will be there and it is always better to have someone with you when trying to take ing information.

So, no changes as such... Danny is continuing to fight on and this situation is very fluid, things can change very quickly – as soon as they believe he is ready and it’s safe for him to breathe on his own, they will do what they need to do.

Will be phoning Anna again at the same time tomorrow and I do there will be better news for y’all. So many folk care for him... please keeps the thoughts, prayers, posivibes, whatever postive thoughts or energy you can spare, send it along the breeze to our Danny Boy. We don’t cure, but we can and do care.

Stormy – How did N go yesterday? Gosh, I remember us talking about him when he was a wee-N and doing what Missy’s twins are doing... time goes so quick a? Hope all’s good at school. Work with me is about to become very challenging. Hey ho! Hope all is well with H too and she’s enjoying. Good to see ya girl! xxxx

Missy – you make me smile Dixie – just love love you xxxxxxxxxxxx PaPa’s next round this Friday? I’m glad he’s coping with it tho I know it's not easy to do – knowing the love you and yours have for him, this will help him enormously and give him the strength he needs. That is fer sure.

Taggers – the map was ubercool – but them I’m a tad geeky like that. How’s the Nipper going? Sean was at the docs on Friday with back pain... nowt too serious, just causing him a few gripes as his body begins to grow and pop nitro bubbles! clickclickclickclickclick.

IzY – so glad you are not suffering from the cat that crept into the crypt, crahpped and crept out again! Very Happy Razz

MaMaVerby – Danny would not wish you to be fretting sweet child... he’s a strong man and he’s fighting to live... he’ll want to hear all your news when he gets back... this won’t be for many weeks, possibly months... but he will try and get back as soon as he can. Kisses for Hrehaan. ((((((((((MaMaVerby))))))))))))) x

((((FS)))) – thank you for all the info about Danny... positive energy, love that. So glad you are Down Under and when he is much better will be able to visit with him.x

((((Blue )))) ~ baby, LY xox xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Waves to all our crew... early start so off to zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. ((((((((Crew))))))))))))

love love love to those near and far ...

<ps. thank you everyone, for all you do... thank you>

How’s the Nipper going?

I went over to see them yesterday, and their lodger Ollie.
We watched the rugby on TV.
Very well done, Italy.
The nipper is still on heavy painkillers, still off work, but is showing a little improvement. He can walk, but not for too long. He spends much of his time flopped on the floor.
I went to help with the cabin fever. I think I did, a bit.

At the orchestra rehearsal this evening, we were handed out the music for the next concert: Rimsky-Korsakov, Tchaikovsky (violin concerto), Liadow, and Glazonow.
No, I hadn't heard of the last two either.
Played through the stuff, very good, one reminded me in bits of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. But different.

I was the only bass, my oppo got snowed in in Rochdale. Scary, or what.

May your gods go with you.

@Izzie,
Danny Our Bosun

Hey Crew ... you iz the best.

Monday morning – Anna and DIL met with the bigwigs. Danny is not coping as well as should be, but one has to remember that he was very, very sick when we went in (despite his sunny disposition on the board). Long and short is that a) before blood was pumping twice as hard and with new valve the heart needs to get used to the heart pumping and blood flowing, so this needs to be helped as best they can - so Danny will remain in the induced coma for approximately (fluid as this is) another week.

b) They need to continue breathing for him for this duration due to the chest infection. They changed his chest tubes today and are in a very strict cleansing regime in ICU.

Dannys lungs collapsed after the surgery as the fluid build up had been removed. The lungs will inflate slowly but surely, but this is why, along with the heart probs, he needs to remain in the induced coma. They don't wish to put his body under any stress whatsoever until the infection has passed and he has good output with lungs and heart.

Anna found yesterday very difficult <very sad and frustrated> but had DIL with her (who was a nurse) and they are in constant contact. DIL has needed to return to PL but will come straight back at Anna's request.

Danny did have a comfortable night last night. When Anna saw him today she felt so much better, delighted even, less fearful, because he looks peaceful when she sees him and she she can see his chest going up and down. This is a blessing for her for us to know.

Anna's feeling a little despondent right now and it's hard to talk when not having some good/preferable news ... (I recognise that feeling only too well) so we've arranged that I will leave it until the weekend and Anna will call me if anything should happen in the meantime. She felt as if it were one step forward, and two steps back... but she was pleased when today they said he was stable and comfortbale.

Of course, I will be hoping and praying that the phone will ring and to hear her voice and good news.

Again, crew, this is going to be a long recovery for our Bosun. He will remain in hospital for many weeks... but I know as soon as he iz able to return home and finds his sea legs after some quiet time relaxing, he will wish to jump onboard again.

Please, please do keep your thoughts and good wishes going and as soon as I know anything at all, I will let y'all know.

He is a trooper - he won't give in - and I am longing for him to fly in on the thermals, Cosmic Eagle as he is, and come and peck all the girls on their cheeks (no no no, not those cheeks) and no doubt be giving all our cosmopolitan men a big man hug (don't slap his back too hard) Wink

We are all in his heart... so we've gotta keep the beats going to make it a tad easier for him

@Izzie,

It's a blessing that Anna's DIL, was a nurse. Surely her explanations would be comforting, as Doctors tend to talk very technical. I am so pleased to here that.

And, I am pleased that each problem he has faced, he has JUMPED and slowly he is jumping the last hurdles... As, he would... He's a fighter and yep, a trooper.

Thank you Izzie, ..... I'll stick to my promise and continue to fly around the room on my broomstick Wink
