@annis,
Hi Annis, what a beautiful thing to add into a school. I wish more schools would help those that need just that little bit more to give them a chance.. You must be way proud...

Our music groups had a concert on Sunday, which went very well.

I liked playing the full scores from "Lord of the Rings" and "Star Wars", but the traditional stuff went well too- Beethoven (two pieces) and Vivaldi, two movements from "The Four Seasons". Our violin soloists are great.

Improvement all round.

Thank you all for your wishes! Looks like people have been very musical! My son loves Lord of the Rings - the movie, the theme tunes etc

Well it has been a very rainy day and spent most of it putting out washing only to get it in again!!! So Fboy has just done his mock exams, last one tomorrow! Then on Friday he is off to spend several days at Izzie's, sboy and fboy gonna spend some quality time! I am off to see my Mum taking her to Hampton Court flower show, my daughter and friends going off to Film and Comic con for her Birthday! So will be a manic few days ahead!

Wishing my daughter a fantastic birthday!

Howdo y’all, I return after a stay in Rome where I heard a jazz trio playing by a fountain in a piazza in Trastevere; a fine tenor gave us O Sole Mio in Piazza della Rotonda; there was singing at 12.00 Mass in St Peter’s, and that was it; no other music was heard!

Oh, how I wish Mc T and his ensemble could have entertained us over supper in the Doge’s Palace. Who was it who said, ‘If music be the food of love, play on?’

Missy sweetie, I have news; talking to Rob Bentley, it seems he pulled off a deal that will see ‘Airbus’ spend $600 million on a new facility in Mobile which will create 1000 jobs. If the Professor is interested make sure he applies early – this is just the start, God has blessed this move by taking from Toulouse and Hamburg and giving to the righteous Alabama folks. Alajuela!
No; wait! Ain’t that someplace in Costa Lota!

Dear Tulip, your man would be very proud of your achievements, his spirit lives on thru you and your children, and all who knew him; live your life for the both of you. Happy birthday to Sgirl.

G’day FS, to avoid any further confusion, I wish to state quite categorically that the two attributes of yours to which I alluded were……….. your weapons of mass distraction!

May I say how much I enjoyed your pictures, and how your garden ‘flows’ around your house. Adding symbols of peace and harmony is a nice touch. Are the prawns served on a slate, and what is the garnish if I may ask?

I hope the court case went in your favor and you are now free from that unwarranted distraction.

I would like to think Izzie is doing well, over the years she has had some massive battles against the system, which begs the question:

If God loves us, why is life sometimes so hard? It’s a simple question, but one that has challenged Christians since the earliest days of the church. Why would a God who wants the best for us allow us to undergo suffering and pain?

Perhaps we should think about Jesus’ example. He held on while wicked people were doing evil things to him. So do not get tired and stop trying. Keep on the right path, so the weak will not stumble but rather be strengthened. — Hebrews 12:1-13

Haze Roberta, howz uhall a doing kiddo?

Good to see u Veggy, the torrential monsoon rains last week triggered floods across India’s northeast were the worst I have ever seen. Assam state, which borders Bhutan and Bangladesh, has been worst hit with the massive Brahmaputra River breaching its banks, while extensive flooding has also hit the states of Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur and Meghalaya. I hope you are keeping dry.

Hugs n’all to all the A>K crew; the skinny dippin’ pool iz now open!

Peace out dudes and remember me in your will.

mismi

@Tryagain,
ehhhh trust me....Mobile needs the money. I am sorry for the other places that didn't get the business but trust me - that city has had nothing but crooks as leaders for the majority of my life. Now it's bankrupt. Just like Birmingham. So crazy. But the folks down there need the jobs. I know every one does. We don't want to move though. We like it raght chere. Wink

No job yet...have a couple of leads and am waiting to get 2nd interviews so we are hopeful. Thankful the boys are healthy. We are blessed. Hoping to hear something from my teaching jobs. I have orientation for the substitute teacher job in 2 weeks. So that is a happy thing. I really want the permanent position so I can be off and get paid in the summers. Perfect. Oh and there is insurance. Which we don't have right now. Smile Razz

We have been in Mobile with my folks. Went to Waterville Water park and it was SO much fun! Loved getting to ride the slides with the kids. I accidentally got a three person tube and had to ride with my neice and some guy I didn't know. Three people of those tubes makes them FLY though! I laughed my head off. I haven't had a chance to read back yet....but I will.

Hugs to you all,
mis

@mismi,
Hello dear mismi, how are you, warmer than me? Down to almost 0 degrees with ice on the car this morning.

Impressed with Tryagain's last sermon, I honestly start to believe the man is a Preacher!

Trust the Prof. will find a job soon and the same goes for you, amazingly the job situation is buyant downunder. Lots of people moving inland to work in the mines, pretty isolated but the money is fantastic.

If the mining boom will take off as predicted there are 10's of thousands of jobs coming up in my State alone. We have the biggest, gold, uranium, silver and steel mine in the world which output they intend to double.

I have seen the operation, its a 1000 miles into the outback, absolutely flat hot desert country but what's underground is unbelievable, the works are gigantic.

If you want to move downunder, there certainly is a job for the Prof. Smile

@Tryagain,
Is that an evil grin I see there on your face Shocked

What do they say about when in Rome? Sounds as if you had a blast and it also sounds beautiful....

As a newbie here, where did the name Tulip come from, someone how special a name I think... Also wishing your daughter the bestest birthday and you the bestest year mam..

My weapons of mass distraction! See I could still take that a few ways but alas, I am distracted so I can't think at the moment Smile

You are so right about the way the gardens flow and thank you, I am glad you enjoyed seeing them.. When I saw Izzies I just felt we were almost in the same place Smile Weeding on the other hand in the freezing cold is not good but seeing the end result is worth every second. I see you saw the extra little things scattered around Wink I am very much into making a garden feel as if the World outside does not exist, no negativites, just peace and harmony and love... Ok enough about that...

The prawns... Have you heard of Banana Leaves? We have an Asian shop here and you buy them for around $7 frozen... I love using those in decoration, it reminds me of something exotic.. No need to reply to that bit.

Thank you (al0t) for mentioning the Court Case. The first meet is 7/8/2012 or is that 8/7/2012? For 15 minutes. No doubt they are there to try to change her mind. Interestingly, she back dated her commencement of employment by 2 weeks to gain an extra day annual leave? Ha. As I countered that in my email to her. I feel that lyers always get caught out and also, what comes around goes around. I never went to War but I am about to go, glad it was not the way it was back then, I could not have handled seeing deaths the way people have.. I wish nothing but the best for anyone. Except her, did I say that?

I love what you wrote about Jesus. From the point of view of no pain, no gain? It is a wonder but then we know not what may happen in this afterlife.. Maybe, it is a field of beautiful gardens, fine food, no hassles, no pain, no worries.. I think obstacles are here to jump... Over, and over, and over, un-fortunately, but ultimately, are we all not here for each other when one comes crashing down? That's how I came about here Smile Sending some love and hugs to ever needs it today...

It's too cold for skinny dipping ask me in 4 months.

Dude, remember me in your will, seems you are working at making monieeees and all we have is a X Lotto ticket to try hey Danny Wink

I'm wondering how the cap'n in Devon is affected by the recent mega-rains.

There is a lively brook at the side of the cap'n's moorings there, and I'm hoping it stayed in its bed like a good little feller, and caused no trouble. TV newsreel footage from these parts was alarming.
