We got our butts kicked in baseball last night. First tournament and I hate to say the boys looked like the bad news bears. But truly - they haven't even had their first "real" practice yet. The fields have been rain soaked so it has limited them to anything but drills. We play again at 2:00pm today. It will be warmer so that will help. It was about 35 degrees with the wind chill last night. I was miserably cold standing out there! But the boys are troopers. J and S turned 12 yesterday, so we had a huge chocolate chip cookie cake for them. That made them happy to be able to celebrate with their team mates.

Izzy - the Toad in the Hole looks yummy to me. Makes my tummy rumbly.

The ref coudn't give the try at the end which is a shame, we may not have converted anyhoo... it was a try on playback... but, the score stands.

SUPER STUNNING DAY... big blue skies and the sun is positively beaming over SW England - gorgeous it is. Have 2 smelly dawgs at my feet (they so need a bath - today is the day) and two kitties laying in the sunspots on the conservatory floor... and a little fella who is chilling out before he has to start doing some revision.

Hi Izzie, glad you're enjoying the sunshine and the rugby later on. Haven't seen anything on our local TV about it.

It's all about cricket here with the Aussies playing India and Sri Lanka in a variety of matches, Tests, 20 and 50 over matches.

Experienced some typical hot Aussie weather this week, and I mean hot, however tonight a cool change moved in and the power bill will go down. LOL
