<am presently grumpy as I'd like to read a transcript of what the official u.s. site commentators said re Stosur and Williams>
needing to weed out my bias from what I might have heard. (One these years I'll get a hearing aid, one hopes).

The pabulum online isn't useful. (Pabulum being the original word, in my recollection, for a baby food product - which I ate at some young age).

Samantha Stosur stunned 13-time Grand Slam champion Serena Williams 6-2, 6-3 to win her first career Grand Slam title at the 2011 US Open.

With the victory, Stosur is the first Australian woman to win the US Open since Margaret Smith Court in 1973 and it is the first US Open championship for an Australian since Lleyton Hewitt won the men's title in 2001.

What is bothering me is the female commentator for the official U.S. Open Site. I think I didn't like what I heard, but I'm not sure, re my hearing and the woman's british telly speak. But I can't find even her name, much less a transcript.

I was mowing on the tractor in the dark last night, and took a giant web (occupied) in the chest and face.

wiped it away and laughed as I roared on by, thinking briefly of what you're reaction woulda been...
