So we finally got the last tournament game in and.......N's team won!! It was an awesome game very close and lots of good plays. He pitched three innings, he wasn't lights out tonight but still did well. The only two runs that scored while he was pitching was on two errors in the field. He hit the winning run in too. Now on to all-stars.....This is his last season in Babe Ruth next year he will be on the legion team. What a way to end it

Great photo of father and son Stormy, they can both be very proud of their efforts, congratulate them both on my behalf. Ofcourse your enthusiasm for baseball would have been a great incentive for them both so really you should have been in that photo too, a great three way effort!

Anyhoo - not at work District Nurse is on her way this morning to do some blood tests and give me a steroid injection - hoping that will ease some of the joint/tissue inflammation which should help with the pain. Damn knees.

Gonna have another quiet <insert how peed off am I emoticon> day - fortunately the tennis is keeping me distracted.

Hi Izzie hope the District Nurse is gently with you and you can watch the tennis without pain. Don't be modest about your belly dancing you'll be as good as ehBeth and mismi, nearly talked the latter into giving a performane this morning, she was an such a sparkling mood.

Did you watch our young Aussie boy slide easily into the quarter finals yesterday? Suddenly he finds himself amongst the big boys of tennis and has to play the number 2 in the world Novak Djokovic tomorrow. Will be an interesting match as our young fellow will acquaint himself well.

Watched a little girl on the news, couldn't have been more than 4 or 5 years old... out in a war zone... every little noise made her cower and the fear on her face was tangible. Devastating.

Have been a little preoccupied for the last couple days and had to talk to Charlie and Tulip before talking out loud here. I miss R-boy so badly - I just can't think straight.

Had the second round of mammograms and ultrasound on Wednesday which showed “something” – of course, it’s likely a benign something. Unknown as yet. Biopsy taking place on Monday and will then have to wait 10 days until the results on the 14th when I shall be seeing the surgeon. Hopefully all will no further action necessary and that will be that and onwards and upwards. They're such lovely people - DrP is my doc. Verra nice young man and the nurses are so sweet.

Ten days?!?!?!? That's a horribly long time to have to wait and wonder. We'll have to find ways to keep you distracted. And the " loud noise" they mention is an understatement and a half. The sound is not unlike a jackhammer. Doesn't hurt. It's just loud.
