Okay we had our first game last night. We were smokin'. It was a blast! At one point one of the boys got caught between 2nd and 3rd and I mean it was back and forth at least three times...then slid into third...safe. It was awesome! Final Score 18 - 9....spanked 'em.

So...we are off to Tennessee today for the funeral. I wanted to come wish you well Izzie.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD MORNING / AFTERNOON / EVENING having returned from the Purple Room Resort HOSPITALity Center in Plymouth.

On this fine morning one has dined on fresh grapefruit segments, toast and marmalade, tea (nope, not gonna mention anything negative about the fact it is not Earl Grey!!!!!!!!!!! - nada) and some wonderful little painkillers. So onto the day - Bear and WW-WOM have been having coffee this morning/evening. Our RH-DJ, Indeedee, Babbling, TaiChi, BlueBoy, Bear and BigRed tried to rescue me with a great escape - however, as the crew had had such a busy Easter it was decided that I should have a nite out and return to the ship in the morning. So here I be

I finally went to bed at 5.30am (as I do) to be woken up by Nursey Tom Cobbley and all at 6am. But I then did get to see the sunrise, the birds twitterpating rather loudly (guess that's forebird-play with all that dancing around they were doing on the window ledge).

I had the most lovely nurse who's been taking care of me - Janice from Jamaica - bless her heart - I just wanted to break out in to song with her and limbo under the bedside trolley. She's a very large, loud and heavily Jamican accented lady and I would love to have taken her home and had a good ?'ole yabber - but, she was run off her feet most of the nite looking after sick folk. Good for Janice - she was a shining star and made my being in hospital visit a really good reason as I would never have had the pleasure of talking to her else.
