Done! Done, done, done, done, done. Six tax returns done and dusted. We got nabbed by the dreaded AMT this year so I have to write the big check, but it's all done besides the complaining and there's nothing to be gained from that.

Speaking of complaining... I woke up to a blanket of snow and a forecast of 2-3" by noontime. What!?!?!? Whose idea was this? The only good thing about tax day passing is that I get to enjoy spring. Phfffffft and phooey.

Glad to see everyone stopping by and telling stories. Here's to a happy Monday, wherever you are.

Smooches to Iz and Miss Mis. Hugs to all who want or need one.

@JPB,
I'll take one of them there hugs, J.

Glad you got your taxes done. Tax time. Usually a sign of spring, but I don't see much of that here either--except for blossoms on trees.

Relax and make a snow entity. Always fun.

Hi to everybody else. Iz, your morning sunshine is too dazzling for me. I'm not a morning person. But glad to see your spirits are high.

@Roberta,
Thanks! I'm a true early bird. I don't think I ever pulled an all-nighter in my life. I've wandered back to my hotel as the sun was coming up a few times in New Orleans, but even then I was back up and at it a few hours later.

I've always been one of those annoyingly perky morning people.

I hope your milk works its magic soon.

heh heh - me too also

I lalalalallala from morning 'til night unless something brings a cloud - then I remember the clouds make rainbows so... lalallalalalla - nothing is gonna bring me down.

Oh JPB, I can't imagine you still getting snow forecast - I wish I could pass a little of my world over to you and Boida - it's simply super stunning right now - warm - 'singlet and crops' and the scenery is magnificent.

I spent yesterday yomping with my camera - walked and walked and walked the Cornwall Coastline - found treasures and delights every step of the way - I can't believe how I have not been to these places before - heh... got cut off by the tide <ahem> and had to get some help from some "burlies" with the equipment - not cut off cut off, not coast guard cut off - but waist high cut off with thundering waves - the most it was, was getting verra wet and fortunately, no damage to the equipment.

Got soaked as the waves crashed over the top of me (dried off in the sun many times), my camera got soaked (not too clever but.. ya know, 'it happens), my tripod almost disappeared into the depths (best place for it, it's sooooo crahp) - wasn't in danger in any way - and sooooooooooo worth the experience! It was THE best time. 8 hours of clicking and maaaaaaaaaaaaaan - it felt good. Found my strength with the sand beneath my toots and thinking of all that is good so near and yet so far.

Very sad thing happened tho - a dog ran off the cliff and the coast guard was called to retrieve - poor poor dog and the folks and their kids too - I don't think some folks realise the dangers of the cliffs - very sad to see. So sad.

Watched the sunset over an abandoned tin mine on a cliff face - truly, a spectacle - soooooooo quiet, sooooo peaceful - hardly a soul to be seen.

Got a lotta pain in the 'ole joints today - but, again, worth it!

To add to the delights - Charlie is coming today for a sleepover - yayayayayay - can.not.wait but have.no.food.in.the.house. Oops! Heh - we'll figure something Razz

Glad the tax returns are out the ways for the USers - and hoping so much the weather is gonna improve for y'all.

BEAgle - ha, I had to laugh, I saw a proper pirate flag yesterday and immediately thought... hmmm.... can I shimmy up the flagpole and nab it <slap my wrist for thefting thought> and send it to our Pirate Down Under - all I could think was how brave you are with your injections and what not - even if you don't think it - you amaze me.

(((Boida)))) - mmmmmm cookies and milk - sleep well goil - all love x

Anyhoo - the sun is divine outside and my cherry blossom is calling out to me to go look at it - so, off I go ... might just havta get the lawnmower out - but may see if the little fella is feeling energised enough to do that. We split it now - he does one lawn, I do t'other (if I can).

((((MissyMis)))) - love ya girlie - big huge hugs - hope you had a great weekend and are clear of the twisters - have been hearing about the damage... gosh... lives lost too... devastating for many. Take care and be safe Mis. x

((((Taggers))) - healing wishes, hope you'll be in full recovery mode as soon as.

((((smooches Blue)))) love to you and yours xox x

Catcha later crew, thinking of those near and far.

@Izzie,
Oh poor you, getting all wet, wish I had seen that and taken a few pictures. Pleased for you your equipment didn't get damaged. Was that the action of a dumb blonde? Laughing

Wishing you happy times with Charlie, sure you have plenty to talk about, so no food is only a minor matter.

Cheers from downunder, time to hit the sack.

@Izzie,

The weather we've got now, fantastic, more like June than April. I walked across the golf course on my way back from the hospital this morning- went in a taxi, came back on the bus, which was all round the houses and a bit of an adventure, and finished off with a stroll in gorgeous sunshine through our leafy suburbs, looking their best at the moment, and open spaces including our bijou local golf course.
Not much water in the river when my bus went over the bridge (the Mersey, not enough water to float a Ferry, but you could wade I suppose).
April showers needed for those May flowers....the land will dry out in no time. Still, not my worry, it's lovely in the sun today.

@Izzie,

Nice one, Izz.

The Peter Tavy Inn is the tops. Quite envious, I am.

I may go into Manchester today and scull around for a bit. Have a curry at Malu's, see the nipper maybe (he's a barista), go to Waterstones, that kind of thing.
I'm not supposed to do any work yet, so am avoiding work of both the light and the heavy kind.
Which is nice.

@Izzie,
verra hot, eh? I could use some hot. We woke up to ice on the standing water in my front yard. CRAZY!!!!

Anyhoo... finally getting caught up with everything that I wasn't caught up with. Busy week ahead still, but not, "What do you mean there are only 24 hours in a day?" busy. Can you believe I have to do more taxes? First qtr business taxes due next week. I'm looking forward to May!

Kids are both home this weekend for Easter. K finishes up her spring semester today, but M is still in the thick of it through May. She has to head back mid-afternoon on Sunday so I'll be making brunch instead of dinner. Easter brunch sounds good... mimosas, homemade coffee cake, ham, egg and potato bake, and a strawberry tart for dessert. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! I just made myself hungry. Smile

Sorry to hear about all the broken bits in your life right now, Iz. I hope they all get sorted soon. Enjoy your warm weather. Send a bit my way when you get a chance.

My winter slippers are a bit too hot for this weather so I must get a new pair of bath-type or flipflops for indoors.

Have been wearing shorts since Wednesday....our relatives in Toronto and Ottawa have still got SNOW! OMG!!

Sister-in law and hubby have now arrived in London and Chelmsford, from Vancouver, to see their daughter, and are on the way up here for the cabin boy's family reunion.

Batten down the hatches, the outlaws are at the gates!
