@mismi,
Hi miss Sunshine, lovely to see you in good shape, cheeky and inquisitive as always. Has cooled down from the extreme hot weather to a somewhat more bearable temperature but still warm enough to enjoy a Corona or two. I'll drink one to your good health my friend. (((mismi))).

"BEAgle - glad for you that it's cooled down now. Have our orange and lemon trees had any babies yet? x"

Low thirties today but humid Izzie. Our lemon tree is loaded and the fruit being used, orange tree has stunted, very much alive with blossom but no fruit.

North of the State preparing for the aftermath of cyclone Yasi, 100-150mm of rain forecast over the next few days, can't do any harm only good! Destruction in Queensland is phenomenal but sofar no casualties although 2 men are missing. Emergency services haven't been able to reach all of the affected areas yet because of the devastation, 3 little communities are still cut off from the outside world.

Waves to the crew.

Edit: It has just been announced a 23 year old man has died as the result of cyclone Yasi.

@Dutchy,
Sounds amazing Dutchy - I long for summer about this time every year. I bet it is so beautiful down there. One day - I keep hoping that I will find the resources to do all the things I want to do. Smile Me and the Prof might come see you and the Mrs. Very Happy ((DEAR DUTCHY))

We are already gearing up for baseball believe it or not. The boys have been drafted to their teams. I have one that is an Angel and one that is a Marlin. Marlins suck. yuck. But I didn't tell my little sweet pea that. Go Marlins! Wink
My third opted out. I am a little perplexed by that - but am working on being understanding Smile - he is trying to distance himself from his twin - I get it.

Oh Iz - I hope you and sweet S get plenty of good rest tonight. Yes - I am so thankful about the knee. I was mad all last week about the stupid thing. I think I used the phrase "pissed off" 50 times - which I rarely do - because genteel southern women rarely use that word. But seriously - I was SO pissed off. ((Izzie))

Thank you McT for the extry hour - I might actually get it. It is treacherous down south today. Freezing rain - and you know us Alabamians are a little backward when it comes to ice. Horrid day for traffic today. All the interstates at a standstill because of it all. Cr-ay-zy.

((YABBER CREW))
Take care y'all

@McTag,
Morning Crew

Coulda done with an extra hour or 4... ah well, nem'mind.

BEAgle - good to hear about Lucy Lemon - hmmmm... Olivia needs to have a little more TLC methinks Wink When are you next off to see your angels then Bosun - hope they are taking good care of you. xxxx

Missy - you hiccuped! Shocked Bless those little boys - yep, can understand why S is making his own way in the world - I only know three other families, that I can think of, who have twins - one was at my old school and were R's friends - the boys were identical (gorgeous looking boyz - gorgeous) but I could tell them apart just. One was one of R's closest friends and he would often come over to play and R and him were so close, but R wasn't close to his twin - as they grew older they developed their own interests, almost on purpose I think, and people saw them as "separates" when they really started doing different activities. At my school now we have girl twins in Year 3... Mis, I cannot tell them apart Embarrassed One wears a pink headband and the other wears purple... I never remember which is which (isn't that awful) - I don't spend that much time with the kids in that respect - all the teachers can tell them apart and if they are together you can see very very small differences but if one presents themself in the office to hand something in, nope, can't tell which one it is and kinda have to mumble my way around the thank you or jewel in the jar reward. However, I don't know if it's a girl thing - but they have separate friends and the dominant girl can be quite nasty to her twin sister sometimes excluding her from a lot of things. They are definitely not going to be doing the same things together as they get older and even now do completely separate activities at school. In our Reception year (4-5yrs old) we have boy/girl twins - ha, I CAN tell them apart - this a good thing methinks! Wink

Glad you're knee is good now - I'm struggling on my feet right now and my body is wracked - but am going into the city in a minute so gotta get on and get my act together. Arrow Have a great day Mis. You be careful in that freezing rain OK! x

Morning McT - bit windy out there, isn't it? Not quite the cyclonic mess that Oz is having - but it's whipping it up and nasty nasty rain - yuk! I had plans with a big date with my camera this weekend - doesn't look like it's going to be going out weather. Hope all is good with you and the Cabin Boy (((((McT)))))

UScrew-ers who are snowed - hoping you are all OK out there in the snow and that y'all are managing to get to and from as you need to. JPB, so glad you have the power back on now - 27hrs without... brrrrrrrr again! Y'all take care out there

Blue smooches xox

Gotta fly... laterz crew

@Izzie,
I read that as U Screwers....heh heh. Made me giggle. Wink

I got impatient again - I thought I deleted all of them - believe it or not I posted it what I thought was twice...but no - I posted it three times. When it doesn't post I proceed to click click click that reply button - that is what I get for not having patience. Razz

Have a great day Izzie - warmed up here - no ice. All will be going as usual.

@mismi,
I still can't believe you're starting up with baseball already, (((mis))). We'll be digging out from under this white blanket for weeks. The idea of shirtsleeves and balls/bats just doesn't compute.

Dutchy -- sorry to hear that there is now a fatality associated with Yasi. Property and such can be repaired/replaced, but... well... 'tis sad.

(((Miz Iz))) hope you have a fun reason to be going to the city. Thoughts to all and may you all have a restful and storm-free weekend.

My daughter Katrina recently worked on the casting of an independent short film. It is a drama about a young man dealing with cancer and how it affects his friends. The film has been selected to compete in some American film festivals.

I like the look of that film, wandel. Are the young men friends, or perhaps brothers?

@Tai Chi,
The two young men are friends. Their friendship reaches a crucial point in dealing with the fact that one has cancer.

@wandeljw,
difficult subject matter. They do look like they could be brothers.

Speaking of cancer -- we've learned that one of our kitties (big Jack) has an aggressive malignancy. We're not sure yet if the vet is going to recommend any treatment, but it doesn't sound like the prognosis is very good. Tough days/weeks ahead.

Nice cool day here after all the heat, lots of rain inland after the cyclone but we were spared any of it, pity.

@Dutchy,
((JPB)) I am so sorry hun. After losing my kitty last year, I know this must be heartbreaking for you. I still see mine around the house...only - it's not him, it's a pile of clothes or the boys toy....thoughts are with you.

Well...we are so cold here. We do our baseball practice indoors a lot. Go to these places with cages and one place is just a big open gym with astroturf...still - the boys can get their batting practice in anyway. I have one more chance for real snow - next week. I am not counting on it...but I have a little hope in me that thinks this time it might actually happen.... Smile With so many covered in it, I am sure I should just be content with what we have had so far this year...but something in me just can't help but feel excitement over the white stuff.

Hugs to you all...
I am calling it a night !
