This evening, the cabin boy is at the theatre with her chums, so I got steak pudding, chips and peas from the chippy.
It kind of suited the weather we're having at the moment.

I hope there's someone around to bring the captain logs for the fire.

@McTag,
Can't get over all the snow you're having McTag, all over our TV news, isn't that a bit early before Christmas?

Sat up until the early hours this morning watching which Countryl will host the 2022 World Cup. Australia put in a strong bid but was never in the race, Qatar got the nod.

Pleased to read you're on the mend Izzie, can you manage with all that snow?

Unprecedented in living memory. Well, the '40s and '50s were bad, they say. I remember very cold spells '50s myself, when I was a nipper.

And, it's about six weeks early. We very rarely have snow before January, and quite often go the whole winter without seeing any.

@mismi,
Hi Izzie, are you alright now you've got so much snow and cold weather in the UK?Lovely 35 degrees here right now and the English cricketers are loving it, they got the Aussies on the ropes at all out for 245 at stumps.

Great embarrassment after the game as the 40.000 odd spectators had no way of getting home. All bus drivers and train drivers went on strike at 5pm in protest against the Government's decision to cut their long service leave and conditions.

I may add our Labor Government is much maligned presently after giving themselves huge superannuation pay rises whilst sacking 3500 public servants and cutting the conditions of all other public servants. Hence this dramatic strike action.

@Dutchy,
Morning Crew,Harbour Master here.This is a weather report for The Captain's area...........................................NO SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'll bet she's cussing right now.I know she loves that cold white stuff.As McT said "You can have some of ours".It's turned to frozen slush on the main highways but on the back streets it's still b****y deep snow,up to 6 inches.Her camera would be in hog heaven! Whatever happened to global warming!
Bosun,keep a sharp look out for ice.It can form any time.
Laters Crew and as the Captain often sayes "You are the best!"

PS. tried to edit the back slashes out.The Hamsters were tinkering early this morning.Perhaps a few more lines of code need editing.

@Barry The Mod,

Slashes and pirates go together.

Global warming, don'cha love it?

"The UK will be "much, much, colder" on Friday, forecasters say, as disruption caused by snow continues.

Overnight, temperatures fell as low as -20C in Braemar, Aberdeenshire and -7C in Birmingham."

Aussies three for two, or two for three or something. That's a laugh, even for a Scot. Go Poms!

Logs for the captain. Captain's Log, geddit? Woohah, I'll have to have a cup of tea to calm down.

My rock salt is working fine.

@McTag,
Hey Crew

Healing physically – wound is doing much better and as long as I keep it elevated it doesn’t throb. Redness has nearly gone and it looks like a normal foot again – well, as normal as can be. Have changed the dressings, inadine draws out the nasties and is fairly clear now. Can feel my bone moving when I weight bear – I can click my 4th toe in and out – it’s too painful to the wear the boot so I use the crutches when necessary. See the surgeon on Tuesday – funnily enough, at the local hospital at an NHS clinic to save me going into the city! Keep on taking the antibiotics each day – fortunately, they haven’t affected my tummy and I only felt a little ick on the 2nd day of taking them. Other than that, recovery for sure.

No snow here, a dusting with hard frosts – sunshine and blue skies.... a few miles either side of the village and they have snow – and a decent amount of it - I think we must be one of the only places in the UK without the white stuff, which... is quite sad really but I’m prolly the only one who thinks that. I so desperately wanted snow. I wan'ts, don't get Wink

I reached my toppling point – I’d say I was still teetering. Overwhelmed with my RL reality here, the same reasons of what brought me to A2K originally. See... crying as I write. I’ve spent nearly 3 weeks crying – dumb dumb dumb, who even has that many tears. Realisation of being less than nothing in RL and a sense of loss again – when really there was nothing here anyway, but realisation that what I thought I had, I didn’t . I’m a duty bound “hello” in RL and not even that. That’s a bitter pill and one I have to stop taking. Of course, only I know what I’m talking about so this makes no sense, but that’s ok. Nowhere to go and don’t want to stay. What to do to stop it hurting. What to do?

I’m thinking Alaska sounds nice.

S-boy will be home on Saturday – only for the night, he has play rehearsals on Sunday – 2 more weeks of school and he’ll be done – it’s been a long term. I hope I may be able to drive by then – I still don’t quite know how I’m going to Christmas Day for him and not for my other son. My other son....

Waiting to talk to my GP – he’ll be calling in a bit.

Gonna wrap up in a doona and sit in the conservatory with my feet up on the blanket box and my camera in my hand and take a million or so pics of the boids at the feeder.

I'm glad y'all are here. If you weren't... I wouldn't exist. Thank you - y'all are the best. x

Baz and POMcT - you be careful on the slush and ice, y'here!!!!! Logs..... I need logs. Have had the heating on 24/7 but now I can move around a little - I NEED LOGS FROM GARAGE! yes, Cap'ns logs!

ha... so that made me laugh!!!!!!!!!

Baz - thanku - no no, havent declined your offer and it would be lovely to have you come see Devon - not sure if you could cope with the green and trees and silence tho... we are a far cry from the concrete jungle! Wink , leave alone cope with the miserable ole bat here. I wouldnt be able to pick you up... and no... no buses or trains... logistics... certainly no pizza deliveries or take-out fodder. Will speak to you over the weekend tho if I can get my head together.

I think Caralyn may be coming down around the 9th or 10th and its S-boys Christmas Play on the 9th and 10th... hmmmmmm...

Secret mission sounds good a?

JPB is better at dealing with issues of the head and heart than I am. If you get a chance will you be posting a video clip of S-Boy's performance, Izzie?
