@ossobuco,
CONGRATULATIONS POMcT and the Cabin Boy
Very Happy Anniversary To You Both – 31 years, love that!
So, what gift do you get for your thirtyoneth anniversary
A TimePiece (a couple hours unavoidably late I might add

– and nothing more fitting than this one
THEN!!!!!!!!!!!
“One small step for a woman, one giant plod for Izziekind”
Good Lawd Almighty – what did they do to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOOOOOOOOOOK at what I have to wear. Now for goodness sake, if I lived here (today’s pic)
– no problemo – but really, I can barely lift my boots.
I was supposed to be having the divine black wedges... and ended up with these – now if I just get a couple of planks of 2 by 4, I can ski to the bottom of the hill, I could waterski on the river, I have my own ski boots....
Hysterical – my poor chicken legs are not impressed at all. So, they brought the boots in, at which point the 2 physios and I burst into giggles... then they tried to put my mummified feet into them – which was not going to work – so then they asked the nurse to make the bandages less bulky – but when she unbandaged me, she found that it was my feet that was so swollen across the top, not bandages – so I had to get the next size up boots.
THEY HAVE 4 AIR PUMPS IN EACH BOOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 4 AIR PUMPS and I have to inflate and deflate them each time I put them on...
Try doing that with cacky hands – yeah, right!
So, all in all, its been a very tiring day, trying to walk with moon boots on, not allowed to weight bear at all without the boots on as both bones in my mid-foot have had been sliced, shortened and screwed/stapled back together (sorry if that’s too much info) – I’m exhausted! I tell ya what tho, the relief of taking the boots off when I am laying down, which I am now, is almost worth wearing them – it feels sooooooooooooo good not to wear them – yet, when I wear them they are completed protected and ha, I am walking on air (hahahahaha)! I think I am already bored of the “you must not weight bear” already – most inconvenient. So not gonna last.
Look at the size of them.. i ask ya!!!!!!!!
Charlie adores them... we are gonna decorate!!!!!!!
Now if I just bunch up my hair and put it in little hairballs around my ears I could play 2 parts in the star war movie
and
DAINTY, I ‘AINT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey, be happy, I ain’t this part in the movie quite yet
Annnnnnnd, I have some lovely scarlet red crutches... so, one red right hand and one blue left hand upstairs and one right blue hand and one left red hand downstairs. Poifect balance!
Just wait to see what Charlie and I are gonna get for my boots.... ha, I will be going back to the 80’s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DISCO DIVA – we are going shopping in the wheelchair... OMGawsh, she has noooooo patience!!!!!! She may just roll me down a hill and wave from the top

“Bah bah bah ba ba bye.. love you love love you” as I tootle off down!
So, would you Adam and Eve it, no sooner did I write about the howling wind and rain outside, it stopped.... jusslikethat at 7.30am! Not a breath of air, then the sun broke through, blue skies, white fluffy clouds, gorgeous day. Mighty strange. Cornwall got hit very badly with lots of flooding, trees down, a landslide or two and many roads closed. It’s raining again now, but nothing like it was last night – and when there’s sun and rain... look what was outside the bedroom window earlier on!
Yeah I know, not very clear... but it was a rainnow.
Fortunately, as the storm headed East towards Charlie driving down, it slowed up a lot – she got here at 5pm... and went to bed about half an hour ago... we talked for 8 hours solid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So so good to have her here.
POMcT – the babbling brook is high (can see it from my bedroom window), prolly about a foot off flooding at the top end of the garden, but I shall trust the word of the farmers that this place will never flood. It definitely is nowhere like it was two Decembers ago – when I got caught in the swollen river near work at 2am and the car blacked out and we (‘nother blonde and I) had to be rescued by Joe the Farmer! Not even close to the force of the water back then – I do hope not to see a repeat of that as it was a bit loud and scary.
Talking of which McT – how is your flooded kitchen? Did you manage to dry it all out. I hope you’ve kept the plinths off for a while... heh, how Linda Barker do I sound - ho ho ho! She’s got a bit of nagging voice... I can do that
Boida – ah, I’m already on the road to recovery, thankee kindly. Hey, special day for you tomorrow (today over here).... gonna be singing, not quite yet tho...

Happy Birthday from Charlie and I. xx
Baz – ha, was in the middle of texting you back this morning and the physio walked in so... I just sent it without finishing the sentence... think you would have got the gist of it tho. Course, I didn’t realise that I hadn’t finished talking... ya know my mind works faster than my fingers... thought it so you must have have known what I was thinking – so I just sent it and hoped for the best. Lalallalalllallla – nope, not on meds even if I sound as tho I am.
Mis – hope you’ve had a good day and you managed to get some sleep. Late night for us all last night – haven’t slept at all today, in fact, have only slept for 4 hours Monday, 3 hours surgery, 2 hours last night... that’s it. Sheesh, I’m wide awake again. x
JPB – so much respect for you girl – there I was on Monday telling you to put your boot on... ha, there’s a comeuppance if ever I heard one – not sure if you have a heavy one – but I know that I can hardly lift my legs up and I have lean forward like I’m skiing – which i would truly love to be doing – but somehow don’t think it will be this year!!!!! The phsyio said it would build my quads up... errrrrrrrrr, cool, oooooookay, thanks for that a?
Jw – yep, it’s a long way to Devon from Essex – usually a good 5 hours straight, unless your speeding badly – ahem – Charlie got a ticket not so long ago, so she’s having to be careful. She made good time today and had a stop at Bristol for 45 mins... so that was good. Last time I drove up to her I was followed into her town by the nice policeman in the nice police car and was sure I was going to get nicked... I had S-boy next to me and was a bad mother and cussed when I saw the copper pull up alongside me and sit right next to me on the dual carriageaway – I think I was pretty lucky that night to get pulled over. He did give me the hairy eyeball, so I was darn fortunate. Must be more careful – but won’t be driving for quite a while now.
Osso thank you – it has been a very long day and I should be attempting sleep now. X
MaMaVerby – you sounded happy girlie... GOOD FOR YOU – that’s what we like to see, enjoy yourself hun. Hug Little Hrehaan for us.
BEAgle – thank you love, all is good and heh, if you can tango with me in these, you’ll be a mighty fine specimen of a fella.
TC - ah, just crossposted... ooooooooh... more on the workfront... hey, don't get too tired out girlie. Look forward to the jewellery pics... yay x
Ha, did laugh today.
Hopefully made a few folk giggle too
