"Goodfellas" from IMDB:

Henry Hill is a small time gangster, who takes part in a robbery with Jimmy Conway and Tommy De Vito, two other gangsters who have set their sights a bit higher. His two partners kill off everyone else involved in the robbery, and slowly start to climb up through the hierarchy of the Mob. Henry, however, is badly affected by his partners success, but will he stoop low enough to bring about the downfall of Jimmy and Tommy ?

Scorcese's best film other than "Mean Streets" which I also recommend.

And "Once Upon a Time in America" from IMDB:

Complex tale of the life of New York gangsters from the period of the early 1900's through prohibition, and climaxing in their subsequent reunion in the 1960's. Robert De Niro and James Woods play the lead roles of loyal childhood friends who enter a life of crime together that inevitably leads to tragedy.

Directed by Sergio Leone, the spaghetti western king.

You have been remiss in returning films? You can also have them mailed to you on:

www.netflix.com

It's less than $20.00 a month for three DVD's at a time.

(There's no return deadline but, of course, the faster you watch them and send them back, the more movies you get per month. I usually end up paying only $1.50 per rental including new release DVD's).

I think you can register with a checking account and some banks will let you have a Check/Debit Card which you can use just like a credit card.

Hey, Tyrius, most of these films are just to adult for a 13 year old. "Goodfellas" is especially violent and I wouldn't want to be recommending them unless I was sure you were letting your parents know you want to watch them.

That's a plan of attack, so to speak -- recommend these movies to Mom and let her decide. Perhaps she wouldn't mind the older films that haven't become so graphic like "Scarface," (was that the Paul Muni black-and-white version?) When I was young, I liked "White Heat," "Detective Story," and "The Asphalt Jungle."

Try the IMDB (Internet Movie Data Base) and put gangster into the search. It'll come up with a great list. Here's a link:
