I feel like wasting 30 bucks this weekend at blockbuster. What are some of your favorite oldies i can rent??? ( I am a HUGE fan of mob/mafia movies and anything that has and italian accent in it lol)
The Godfather if you havn't seen it yet.
I only saw numebr 1 briefly that'll be1
Ill also rent ne other kind of movie i really dont care hehe
See number one then definitely watch number 2. Skip number 3!
Well, Godfather One and Two are considered to be two of the best American movies ever made. Three was considered a let down.--No real artistic reason to make it except for big business. If you see One and Two and really appreciate them, then see Three and decide for yourself. The whole trilogy is part of cinema history.
One and Two were based on the novel by Mario Puzo which is a fun read. Three was an original story written for the screen.
Will the novel be too much for my age?
Hmm how old are you?
It's been awhile since I read it. But I think it's an easy read.
Very adult theme though. Violence, politics, history, etc.
It's not a heavy intellectual piece, though. The story is just a good old fashioned story, page turner. If you like that genre, you may get into it.
You can't get a much better feelling for that time and cuture.
Have you seen "A Bronx Tale" with Robert De Niro and Chazz Palminteri? That's worth renting, if you haven't.
Read your school assignments and wait till next summer! A good hammock book!
Not the italian mob, but Nazi's and charming Italians:
" La Vita รจ bella" (Life is Beautiful). Get it in Italian with subtitles, not the dubbed version.
You'd probably dig that better than the Godfather at this stage of your life.
Bronx Tale is good too!
Im 13
Ill look into (check my post in general need some help)
Wait on the Godfather. You'll appreciate it more in a few years. If you see it now the experience will be ruined. This comes from experience in my sons seeing it a different ages. You may be bored. The Book too. But you'll love Life is Beautiful!
I *love* that movie, too!
It's about an Italian Jewish family that's taken to a concentration camp by the Nazis, and their experience getting through (or trying to get through) the situation. It's funny and heartbreaking and infuriating -- I think that the lead actor won an Oscar, and maybe the movie itself, too.
You just gave part of it away you suck
Did not!
Nice avatar...pretty.
Yes you did
Thank you. Can you believe thats a villan =/
"Goodfellas" and "Once Upon a Time in America" would be the first two after "The Godfather" in recommendation. "America" is an extremely long film. "Casino" would also be on my list.
