@hightor,
Yeah, I get it.

"Oh, I was just taking a stroll with my timpani when I happened upon a musical group doing the Ode to Joy."

@coluber2001,
I knew about flash mobs, but hadn't heard about "smart mob" as a term - learned something new.

Animated cartoon, What's Opera, doc? featuring Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd singing selections from Wagner. Hear Elmer Fudd sing "Kill the Wabbit" to Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries. (1941)

Here is a fair version of La Marseillaise but with a spectacular air show. Nine jets in close formation letting out the three colours of the French flag in contrails. I've just seen it on a cellphone, but on a large screen it should be amazing.

Here is the Auckland Symphony with organ playing the last nine minutes of Saint-Saens 3rd "organ" symphony. Hope you've got good speakers, because the size of the organ pipes is astounding.

Here's what La Marseillaise sounds like when it's done right--spectacularly! A national anthem to be proud of. Roberto Alagna performing.

This is the last climatic five minutes of the 1985 movie "Runaway Train" with John Voight. Music from Vilvaldi's "Gloria" is played. An unforgettable moment in moviedom, and, of course, if you haven't seen this movie and plan to don't watch this spoiler.
