Jumbo Scallops: Natural or Lab Grown

Reply Sat 2 Feb, 2008 01:05 pm
Lately in the fish case at the supermarket, I've been seeing absolutely enormous scallops for about $9 a pound.

I've noticed in the newspaper ads that these bemouths are referred to as "processed".

Did they grow naturally or are they a creation of a fishy food lab?

Calamity Jane--

Many thanks.

Perhaps in my next reincarnation I'll be a jumbo scallop immersed at just the right level to take advantage of the nutrient rich tides.
