There are some web sites that review products including water treatment equipment.

www.ripoffreport.com
www.complaints.com

Just type in the name of the product in the search boxes and you can see some of the issues facing that particular product.

Neither of these sites are review sites as you have suggested, these are both name shame/ complaint sites for people pissed off about whatever product they are pissed off about. I did however check out some of the "complaints" and of the 24 I found on the one site most of them were complaining about the financing and not the product. 24 complaints spread out over 5 years mostly from the Southeast. Go figure huh?

In a decade where people are buying balloon mortgages from bankers who give them away like candy, only to realize in a short period of time they can't afford it and refuse to take responsibility for their own actions and instead elect to shift the blame elsewhere, I suppose these kinds of complaints aren't that big of a surprise.

It would be appreciated Andy if in the future if you are going to suggest that something is a review site and not simply one of many "biatch" sites that can be found on the internet where people can anonymously vent their spleen, that you make sure it is an accredited review site prior to suggesting otherwise. I mean hell why not list Myspace or some other Name/Shame too then? Nuff said.

Have fun Wink!

Region I would agree with you completely that bad reviews are in fact still reviews, if in fact these links led to actual review websites, and not simply glorified anonymous Name/Shame websites.

Non-biased companies such as Consumer Reports give both good and bad reviews. Their reviews are normally based on technical data, and testing under various conditions depending on what is being tested. These kinds of reviews have actual value to people looking for information about a product they are considering, whereas emotional venting does not. Do you understand the difference now?

There are plenty of first hand owners reviews right here on A2K for all to read.

When it comes to H2O systems, the majority of owner complaints involve Aquion/RainSoft products.

Clean Water Rep, thanks for your replies. It seems as though you have been in the water treatment industry a long time. Perhaps you could share with us some of your experience, training, and certification.

Below is another review page that shows both positives and negatives of various types of equipment and brands.
