Hallow - how would you define art in early hominid existence? A representational carving is art. Are cave paintings art? How about clay beads? At that stage is art simply something made which isn't a necessary part of survival?
I think 30,000 is not the oldest piece of art made by bipedals.
Actually, I copied this from a book my dad got for Christmas. Basically, this is the data I copied here, just according to the book.
What's the book title? Is it an art book?
it's pretty amazing to see that this sculpture has survived all these years. it's probably made from mammut ivory
