Does Reader's Digest still exist? To me it was part of the Lawrence Welk-tv tray-reader's digest phenomenon of yesteryear.

Bunch of my friends read the Economist. I'm a dullard re economics, at least in part because I've little interest.
I suppose there is a way to pin this down re subscription numbers and general sales numbers.

Worldwide it is probably GEO International. GEO is sold in almost
every country and is known by everyone.

Depends on your definition of popularity. Circulation wise, AARP the magazine, formerly Modern Maturity, fits that bill.

Not the Japanese, but probably the Chinese - a mag about lead
AARP is only known in the US, not really a world magazine.

Yes, yes, naughty me to think and live global
One can get easily distracted though when everything US is "world"
like the "world series" "world cup" etc. etc. yet no one watches or competes
except the United States.
