In 1918-47 Israel was under British control as well. So, greetings from Israeli participant, London, and welcome to A2K.

Shalom Aliechem.
I was in Yerushaliyim about 8 years ago and I'd love to live in
Eretz Yisrol but I can't afford to on an Ausy pension, I was talking to a fellow just south of Tele Viv afew days ago as my hobby is Ham (amateur) radio. As for rabbits I must confess that the Brits of old have much to answare for and I'm one of them (Brit) that is. Rolling Eyes

Hello Olga.
Taffi is my better half, it's jolly hot here tonight, at 11.30pm it's too hot to go to bed, I can't sleep in this heat, Oh, I forgot you must be feeling it too.

heat
Hi Olga.
Taffi states that she thinks she has adapted to the heat, as she said she has been in this country long enough now, as for me I first came in 1949 when I was an old man of 17y I've been back and forth a number of times and on 2 occasions lived and worked in Northwood Middlesex North West London for some years.
Taffi and I were over in the UK just over 2 years ago mostly in Edinburgh.
I much prefer the cooler weather that way I don't winge so much.

Maybe it's because I'm a Londoner
That I love London Town
Maybe it's becaue I'm a Londoner
That I like it walking up and down

Here's to Old London
Sweet Lady of London
Here's to the noise in the Strand
Something that catches you
Grabs you and snatches you
East End or West End
Which ever's the best end
Each keeps its heart beating true

London Pride has been handed down to us.
London Pride is a flower that's free.
London Pride means our own dear town to us,
And our pride it for ever will be.

OK - enough of that. But I did like the Clash's "London Calling" in the latest Bond film.

Greetings from EC4 as we speak! KP

Hi Buster,

Welcome and if you happen to be down in London on 20/3, you should stop in for a drink and a curry with some of the a2k members, who are meeting there.

It's a long way to meet a group of people you don't know, however, so I'll quite understand if you want to stay North of the Border!
