Hmmm. If I get up on a hill and peer to the north, I can see Canada's fog. Does that count for anything?

According to "The Australian People" (2001), about 72% of Australians have an ethnic origin of 'Anglo-Celt'.

Europeans make up the next biggest groups (Western Europeans 7%, Southern 7% and Eastern 4%). In spite of claims to the contrary 'Asians' only make up about 4.5-6% (depends on how you classify them). Indigenous Australians only a touch over 1%.

I have just joined.

Nice to see so many brits here.

Just like to say there's more to britain than London.

I live in Dorset - bottom of the map . 5 mins from the sea.

Been here 13 years, before that , from near Heathrow. The planes used to fly over the garden quite low. Never ceased to find them fascinatng, especially Concorde. Worked at a place where concorde made a vortex in the yard when it went over, none of the windows fitted in that place either.

Love the forum, so many sections to browse.

Very Happy

G'day Artist, and welcome to A2K.

This is obviously the Pommy thread, so you should feel right at home! Now, if you could just play cricket - there'd be free trips.... Laughing .Now - if you want to comment on the cricket...

There's another thread happening, which would be the ideal place for you to tell us about Dorset! It's already got a bit of a mention, but more would be good:

Any Brits on board yet
Greetings, Very Happy Here is one Brit now on the board, I'm in Melbourne Australia I was born in Edgware Middlesex in 1931 and England has never fully recovered from that momentous event.
I've traveled back and forth toUK many times over the years. Whilst Australia has been good to me I much prefer to live back in England but being on an Australian pension with the bad exchange rate I would starve in England I'm sad to say.
Not knowing the form here in this chat area you will see me as moring
