I got my cat at the shelter when she was a kitten. All the other kittens were playing and meowing, but she just sat there looking all pissed off and irritated at all the other cats playing around her.
She was in a cage with her brothers and sisters, but she looked like she would have prefered a private room.
I saw that pissed off little kitten and I said "I want her"!
She had the most beautiful blue eyes (they told me at the shelter they wouldn't stay blue, but they did), although she had a cut on one side of her eye, which healed well.
As soon as they put her in my arms, no more pissed off kitten. She was obviously very comfortable with me and they all thought it was funny at the shelter because she didn't seem to like people before.
I took her home and she walked in like she owned the place. She instantly felt right at home and now she's around 5 years old and getting fat, lol.
She still doesn't like other people and is very well known in the neighborhood for her hissing
She even scared the neighbours dog half to death when stupid neighbour decided to bring him over. The dog was outside the screen door when Cali jumped up to the screen hissing. That poor dog took of and slammed neighbour against the house as he ran under one of our apple trees
Neighbour deserved it, but I felt bad for the dog
