The mexican midget rodeo (wich is the only midget rodeo) is for kids but adults secretly love it to. The midgets and the animals are to small to hurt eachother. The midgets are like stars and they get an income for performing actual talented legit entertaiment.
Far worse happens to man and animal in a real rodeo or god forbid bullfight.
Aaah...thank you. That's interesting.
That incident with the bull calf didn't look like it didn't hurt though.
My concern with the laughter respponse was
a. Concern that the guy was seriously injured
b. That the laugh was at the sexual humiliation of a person, especially at a small person.
If the context is one where people are recognized for their skill, and well paid, and not having to be humiliated (and where no poor animal is being tortured to death for the gratification of people) well and good.
But...can't small people and small animals hurt each other as much as big people and animals can? I mean, for the people, if taking the risk is a choice freely made well and good, I am just questioning the not being big enough to get hurt thing.
