I have often wondered, why do communities spend so much time and money planting flowers, instead of planting vegetables? Tomatoes and peppers are just as beautiful as impatiens, and they would provide a valuable food source for the community. What do you think?

The state of Texas has enough land to grow enough crops to feed the world. Need I say more?

True Cav, but I'm talking about simply bending down and picking a fresh piece of fruit or veggie, no logistics involved whatsoever.

I've often wondered about that!

Last summer, the city council grew parsley as greenery in the garden beds, and this caused lots of discussion. Perhaps we should encourage them to grow carrots, with nice feathery tops, in future.

It's a good thought Smile
