Aaaaaaah...men and power drills.

Makes you wonder how the **** they managed in all the millenia before electricity and the drill got it together, doesn't it?

I never leave home without a nice little hammer drill!

I am more of a Hilti man myself, but I would not throw a Hitachi out for eating crackers.

There was a Dewalt but it was was too expensive.

It came down to a choice between the Hitachi and a 750 watt Makita.

The Hitachi was $50.00 cheaper at list. Plus I screwed the sales staff for a further 40 bucks off the Hitachi. I figured they were making an over the top profit on it because they were really pushing the Hitachi.

Total price $180 (plus 10% Tax) AUD.

18V and it has a power cord? Does the cord attach to a battery pack, or do you guys have a funny power supply down there. If the battery pack is separate, that sounds like a major improvement.

First job is drilling holes in 6x6 and 6x4 red gum fence posts.

2nd job is holes in 65 mm gal pipe.

Then swing 5 farm gates for all the fences.

Ill post photos when I'm done.
