Hi I recently (Aug 2007) had a Rainsoft EC4 system installed and am having some trouble with it. I think when I added salt to the tank I mistakenly messed up the regeneration cycle. When we first got it, it recycled about every 2-4 weeks, now it is every thursday night. I realize that I am flushing money down the drain and cannot afford it, also that thing is so loud I can't sleep - hence the reason I am up at 2:30 am writing this post. Please help!!!!!

What specifically and exactly did you do?
When I added salt, I hit a button and it said Manual Regeneration on the screen for a second, so I thought I possibly overrode the flexible schedule and set it to manually recycle every thursday. I don't even know if this is possible. How often should a unit recycle - it's just my wife and I we do 4-5 loads of laundry a week and a load of dishes each day. Is 1 week a normal regeneration cycle?
