I'm guessing that you mean a Pantry Closet for storing food rather than an old-fashioned Butler's Pantry which was a standard part of high society homes.

Would the stove be for heating or cooking food or preserving food?

it would be for cooking. Simple stuff, for the two of us late at night.

Hi Navigator!

Are you adding on to an existing kitchen? Is there any way to post photo's?

I had a pantry added into my kitchen years ago. I had a carpenter basically hang two walls, one with the door up against an existing wall. Then I added shelving and use the pantry just for food storage.

I'm not sure I understand how a small stove would go into a pantry.

I'm just guessing here, but I think Navigator lives in a multi-generation house. He's going to be married shortly and I think he probably means that he wants to add a kitchenette to the bridal suite.

Navigator--

A "kitchenette" is a small kitchen. In your situation you would probably use it for snacks and hot drinks rather than elaborate meals. Am I right?

Hi martybarker, actually I don't have a kitchen, I only want a small

pantry for my lady and I. I thought it would be nice if we could do some

cooking if possible.

You are right Noddy, so it's a kitchenette. How can I do that?

A simple gas ring may suit. for cooking over.

A cupboard with several shelves of differing heights, With room for a pan and a pot.

Go to your food shop and look at goods you may wish to cook with. some will be small some will be taller. select your shelf height according to the package sizes you have looked at.
