It's been moving quite a bit lately. Found myself in a church over the weekend (as a courtesy, and quite against my normal inclinations) where the flock was asked to pray for the victims of the earthquake in Iran and the mudslides in California. Seems to me that if the guy upstairs were inclined to worry about these things they wouldn't have happened in the first place, but I thought it prudent not to stand up and say so at the time. So I sat and listened to a bad choir sing, accompanied by a very large organ which a little man manipulated with both hands and feet. I hear it's a million dollar organ; my call to Lloyd's to have my own organ appraised got little more than a snicker, so I'm not sure if I should bother to get it insured or not.

Funny, I prayed over the weekend for those forced to listen to bad, expensive music. Thought it was for those imprisoned Iraqis, Guananimoians and Never-neverlanders - go figure Question

Insure it for its sentimental value, PD.

Gonna take a sentimental journey,
Gonna put my heart at ease.
Gonna take a sentimental journey,
To renew old memories.

Got my bag, I got my reservations,
Spent each dime I could afford.
Like a child in wild anticipation,
Long to hear that all aboard.

Seven, that's the time we leave at seven.
I'll be waiting up for heaven.
Counting every mile of railroad track,
That takes me back.

Never thought my heart could be so yearning,
Why did I decide to roam.
Gonna take a sentimental journey,
Sentimental journey home.

for ehBeth and Fred our tenor sax player.

Pueo, who was it that used to say, New Year's Eve is for amateurs?
Staying home myself...

Staying in as well. That is, when I'm not out greeting the neighbours and banging a coupla pots and pans (if I don't fall asleep too early).

I plan on racing my tractor up and down the dirt roads, waving my whiskey bottle at passerbys and shouting obscenities.

And then, acting on Patiodog's advice... I plan on having my organ insured.

It's gonna be a busy night.
