It sounds as if something is wrong with the unit or could it be plumbed backwards? Is a by-pass valve partially opened?

You need to have your water tested and then program the control valve for your present compensated hardness and family size etc.. You can learn how to do that by searching the web for "softener sizing chart" + SFR, exactly that way.

Did you put a few gallons pf water in the salt tank when you installed it?

Is there any water in the salt tank now?

Travisb33,

H20man should be able to help you out. He has extensive experience with Rainsoft equipment. I know you are new to the forum and hope you able to solve your problems with Rainsoft equipment.

Some members will try to send you to their private, on-line water softener site (which it looks like it happened) but this is against the rules of the forum and is prohibited. The purpose of these forums are to help answer your questions and absolutely not promote ones own business except by paying for proper advertising fees.
