Public recognition introduced Dylan through Robert Shelton in the NYT and John Hammond at CBS but it would have happened without them. Albert Grossman gave The Byrds Tambourine Man and they made a right mess of it with the sacharrine. They rendered it fit for bourgeois ears.

Still milking it I gather. I've seen Roger McGuin sing it and then Dylan hit stage with Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers with When the Night Comes Falling From the Sky the audience woke up startled.

Don't get me wrong, I can do pretty much anything on hockey skates, but the figure skates are just crazy; they have barbed hooks on the front so you have to pick them up dead flat and level, i.e. the first time you ever try to come to one of your toes on the things you go head over heels.

Kids should DEFINITELY learn to skate on hockey skates and not figure skates. If nothing else it teaches you to skate properly (i.e. off the edges of the skates) rather than trying to pull yourself along with the barged hooks which is what you see most beginning skaters doing.

I never made any young girls cry.

But it is a wonderful song and it makes me realise what Bob Dylan meant when he met Barry and he told him to carry on because he was doing a wonderful thing and afterwards Barry said that he didn't know whether it was a put down or not.

I can assure him it was not.

Thanks fm- that was an ace choice. After all Bernie did ask for some treasures.

A packet of PG Tips stewed for an hour on low heat and boiled down to teacup volume with the sugar tipped in carelessly out of the bag and double-cream topped is a bit of a zingaroonie.

Ray Charles farts make better music than Dylan's bestSong For You

Ray was an arranger, a musician, singer, and he brought it all together , even when he was stoned.

When Dylan was stoned , he often fell off the stage

Why the comparison? Why would anyone ever compare Ray Charles and Bob Dylan?

eoe, I would agree with you, however, Its a spendi thing. You have to read his posts in which you would see that they are pretty much a put down of most musicians that dont have a Bob and a DYlan in their names.. I didnt start the comparison.
