As the youtube library expands, the number of extraordinary music performances available to us keeps growing. I thought it might be a fine idea to have a place where folks who love such performances could share them with the rest of us. And there seems no good reason to exclude music videos where that new art form excels or inspires.
I dont know about "treasures " but youtube does preserve some pretty good performances. Ill see youre Bobby Mcferrin and raise you one more with Bobby and Jacques LoussierJacques and Bobby
An old girlfriend of mine, along with her sister, spent several summers following Stan Rogers around the continent.

I won't do any more of these, but you really must see this one. It's rare to see something live up to its billing but this does. The Worst Music Video Ever.
Though more than a few folks here are under the impression that I hate Americans, they are, I assure you, barking down the wrong branch. Picking a favorite American would be for me a task too long and too hard. Or it would be if this fellow was excluded from my options... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kzKiqk2iynY

Mark Knofler and Chet Atkins...a video, but a very good one, and as it is a studio production, the sound quality is wonderul. And the song is great. And the guitar notes are perfection. I really love this work... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kzKiqk2iynY

One of my faves - Cleo Laine - here she is diddling music with her husband, John Dankworth on the sax. I think I first saw them in 1976 - she is something else.
