In the cartoon,
it looks like the winning Labor candidate is standing in the Red corner. . . .

What does that portend for Austrailia ?

Have the Austrailians voted against individual liberty ?

Uh, Dave - what color (spelt for precious american eyes)
are the republican states on US election maps?
OK; when I saw Labor candidate winning associated with Red
my mind went back to the Third World War.

The use of red color for Republican victory
was recent: 2000 for the Bush v. Al Gore election.
The TV press made that choice of colors.

Yeah; I just found out about it on this forum.

Who do you think made the choice of red in the cartoon?

Sigh.

Sigh.

I understand that it was also the press.

HOWEVER, this cartoon contemplates a victory of a labor candidate.
This fact is together with use of the red color.
I have NO information whatsoever
as to how near or far this labor candidate is from commie ideology,
nor do I know whether the cartoonist was intimating
that Karl Marx woud like him or not.

For sure, in 2000,
the TV press were NOT suggesting that W had commie leanings.

I have a confession to make. I miss JH. Sad

Since he left the political scene you've gotta admit Oz political cartoons have become so boring! Sad
Sigh.
Yawn.
He was such terrific, inspiring material! A cartoonist's dream!

But, mind you, I only ever miss him when I'm checking out the daily cartoons! The rest of the time I cope pretty well without him. Very Happy

@msolga,
... so I think Kevin should reveal more of his dark side. Otherwise we might all die of boredom!
