A bit of a lull in these parts ..... would you like me to liven up the thread with a whopper post about the pros & cons of government funding of wealthy private schools, perhaps? I'd be happy to oblige.

Go for it msolga !!!
I don'[t think there will be too many pros, well I can't think of any.

If we are stuck for a topic ... how about Laws.
Are there any federal, state, or local laws you disagree with ? Are there any you think should be changed ?
Are there too many laws? Have we lost common sense?
How can local councils dictate to you what colour roof you have to have on your house, what type and colour fence you have to have ?
Anyone out there want to have a gripe ? Go for it !!!

I know one way to cut the road toll ....

Bring back that old law that required a man to walk in front
of a motor vehicle carrying a red flag by day or a red lamp
by night to warn of its approach.

Of course, I think it was a good idea to repeal the law
preventing children from rolling hoops on the roadway
on Sundays. Then again, was it repealed or is it that you
can't buy hoops these days ?

These are issues which have vexed me for years, bungie. Thank you so much for finally providing the solutions!

As for this: "A bit of a lull in these parts ..... would you like me to liven up the thread with a whopper post about the pros & cons of government funding of wealthy private schools, perhaps? I'd be happy to oblige. "

That, of course was more of a threat by me, than anything else. As I'm sure you realized!

Anything, anything to get a conversation rolling again! Laughing

No laws that anyone disagrees with?
I saw one community in QLD complaining that they are still on sever water restrictions
even though their dam is overflowing and running into the sea.
They are still not allowed to wash their cars etc..

Gee, we need to get our teeth into something eh msolga ?
