Some screenwriters are known for their plot twists.

"The Wicker Man" was written by Anthony Shaffer who also wrote "Sleuth".

"The Spanish Prisoner" was written by David Mamet who also wrote "House of Games".

The original Wicker Man.

Holy ****!

I have a feeling the dancing-naked-whilst-sexily-slapping-the-walls scene would be fun for Jeremiah too. (I thought it was pretty stupid.)

That came out so snippy! I didn't mean for it to sound that nasty Laughing should've thrown in a smiley face, eh?

...I'm gonna have to check out the Spanish Prisoner, sounds interesting.

You'll love that movie, cyphercat. Suspense from the first moment on,
and until the end you won't know at all who is involved in what.

You'll want to watch Spanish Prisoner twice, and you still won't get all the details. Great plot twists in that one.

Another awful movie with a twist ending is "Angel Heart" (Mickey Rourke, Robert DeNiro).

Whatever happened to the lovely Lisa Bonet? (not in the moive, real life). I know Mickey Rourke had some bad plastic surgery that made him look about as natural as Michael Jackson.

She was married to and divorced from Lenny Kravitz, but I lost track of her after that.

Here's her bio on imdb.com:

I just saw the new movie of the Stephen King story, "The Mist".

The end is twisted.

Thanks Mac. Too bad she faded away.

What, no Hitchcock here? The classic twist endings are often too familiar today, but "Vertigo," "Psycho," "Rebecca," all have major U turns in the climax of the movie as well as many more of Hitchcock's films -- it was really his specialty.

Of later films, my favorite twist ending was Harrison Ford in "Presumed Innocent." Didn't see that one coming.

When the bloodied weapon was found, I got a really bad sinking feeling in my stomach.

No Country for Old Dudes...great flick right ya'll? great ending huh?

Not to be a spoiler but all the main characters start hyper-aging, and then all the earth's land borders start disappearing...awesome work Coen Bros.!

If there was a top ten of twist endings, this would be there.
