Is there a web site or other source that provides the vote (i.e., yea and nay) on each bill passed by the U.S. House of Representatives and by the U.S. Senate, which resulted in the enactment of a federal law?
Congressional Voting
jespah-
Thank you. That is helpful. Is there any other source that goes back further? As far as 1913 or event earlier.
There might be, as that's a lot of material to transcribe and it would also have to be indexed. I found this:
http://www.vote-smart.org/official_five_categories.php?dist=voting_category.php (Edit: I just noticed that's only current officeholders). I looked up Tip O'Neill and could not find his record but it is entirely possible that I'm doing a bad search.
Anyway, I'm just Googling the phrase
Congressional voting record. Other phrases you might want to search under:
Congress voting
Congress vote
Senate vote
Representatives voting record
Congressional record
Voting Record O'Neill (or whatever the name is of the person you're looking up)
