Too much Rust-Rout?

I have a Rainsoft Conditioner (Amazon) in a house I just bought. The water conditioner system was installed in 2002.

I had to refill the salt in the conditioner (1/2 block left when I moved in). All I could find was Morton Rust-Rout salt blocks. I read in a previous post where H20man recommended just 1 block out of 4 be a rust remover type (his pic showed a 'Red-Out' salt block which I assume is similar to a Rust-rout salt block).

I've loaded the tank with all 4 rust-rout blocks. Will this hurt the system?

It won't hurt thing. Just remember that until the salt is dissolved and then sucked into the resin, it isn't doing any good for the softener. Well it will remove rust form the brine tank though.

I tell my customers needing to use a resin cleaner like Iron Out how to use it in a certain way rather than buying the more expensive rust out type salt.
