Appraisal?

Hello,

I'm looking for an estimate on how much a piece of art is that we found in our basement. I don't have the money to pay for an appraisal and can't find anything about the piece online.

I believe the piece is an original. It is a watercolor by Zula Kenyon titled "Birthplace of Lincoln." It is in it's original frame and in perfect condition. The sticker on the back reads "The Picture Department, GEO. B. Peck Dry Goods, Kansas City, MO"

If anyone has ANY ideas, please let me know. I'm very interested in finding out the origin of the piece and so forth. I've looked online about Zula Kenyon, but it appears that most of the prints people have are from calendars. This does not appear to be a calendar print.

Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

Looks like a Collotype print to me. There is one in the Jack Smith
Lincoln Graphics collection held by the Indiana Historical Society.

"[Log Cabin]. Artist: Kenyon, Zula. n.d. Print from the collotype method. Images of Lincoln's boyhood home, a log cabin, and a cameo of Lincoln, based on the Gardner photograph taken November 8, 1863, in the upper left corner. Physical dimensions unframed: 13 inches H x 61/2 inches"

Rare Kenyon prints sometimes fetch $300 while the more common ones can get $100.
