Will Butter Popcorn Kill Me ???

Something is bothering me a bit.

It's about butter-flavour popcorn.

You can't buy it for love nor money anymore.

It was my favorite and I have searched various supermarkets and local shops for it.

I read something a couple of weeks ago about there being a dangerous chemical in it that can give you cancer but it's all been kept quiet.

Is this true?

I've eaten **** loads of the stuff!!!

Why not melt real butter in the microwave and slowly, but purposely, pour it over the just popped hot and luscious kernals of white creamy corn? mmmmm

There has been something in the papers recently about the fumes from the flavouring dust being a problem for people.

There were other articles about the stuff emitted from the metal that's in the microwave popcorn bags and how dangerous that was.

We'll be sticking to home-popped and flavoured popcorn here.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm having difficulties finding the kernels for making popcorn as well.

AS for butter popcorn, I do believe Sainsbury's sell them. At least, my mother has been buying packets from Sainsbury's as of late.

yes popcorn is a deadly food group. The little skins can dislodge and get caught in your windpipe causing suffocation similar to that kind that killed the people in Pompei, (except for the 2000 degree thing).

The butter flavor used on microwave popcorn is actually a deadly nerve toxin that just happens to have a good flavor (this is a conspiracy being carried out by the same governmental group that masterminded the 9/11 tragedy).

Its best that we stay away from popcorn altogether.

Orville makes the liquid butter in a bottle that you can pour over the popcorn. I hope that's not toxic! it's delicious.

@farmerman,
DorothyP hasn't posted here since she had a potato wedge back in September.

Set's making some hot air popped white popcorn right now. I'll be having some melted butter and Paul Prudhomme veggie seasoning on my share. Yum.

A bucket of popcorn, once cost me eight hundred dollars.
