Rainsoft cycle times

HI....I have a 1989 Rainsoft with the Q2 Valve. The system works great. I rebuilt it this past summer. Just recently the cycle time, which I set for 1am is coming on a regular basis at 10:00am every other saturday. I thought the computer might be picking up the 1am for 10 am so I changed it to 3am. It still does the same thing. Any ideas. Maybe unplugging computer and letting it sit for about 1/2 hour. Thanks
Hank

I would try to reset everything first.

Note all of your settings. Unplug, remove battery and let it sit over night.
Install a new battery, plug the unit in, quiet alarm and re enter settings.

Let us know if that works.

Cycle Times
Well I unplugged system until Monday morning which was October 29, 2007. The softener went into a cycle mode Monday, November 5, 2007. It says the previous gallons used was 2079 which in facti it was only between 600 and 700 gallons. Unit is set for 2285. I think it still might be the circuit board. What is your guess? Mind you, I have NO complaints with the system other than it probably will cycle every week. If it is the board, any ideas cost and supplier. My supplier here in Kingston, NH will provide as I just rebuilt my softener in June. O-rings, bowl, brine stem...etc. Thanks

The board could have issues, the water wheel on the outflow side could need cleaning
and I think the Q is factory programed to regenerate every 7 days no matter what.
