I'm open to suggestions. I thought about going through a school but I can just imagine some teacher carting the sweet little computer home to her kid instead of it going to the child most deserving. And how do we determine who is most deserving? Test scores? Attendance records?
Suggestions anyone?
There's the Atlanta Children's Shelter if you're nearby. They do pretty good work and are on my list of places I'd like to volunteer at if I ever overcome my apathy. The laptop would most likely be shared among many children as they come and go from there, though. I'll keep digging.

Why don't you call your local Visiting Nurse association? They might be able to give you the name of either an ill child or a child with a severely ill parent who could use a little tangible TLC.
