I'm going away on the 31st and won't have access to a computer, or I would volunteer.

Give me the rest of the day, then when me butts sitting stationary at the computer this evening, i'll post the new thread.

Can't earlier cause have a 4:00 at the beauty salon = driving home with Friday traffic plus vehicles adorned with snowboards and skis - all attempting to break the sound barrier whilst passing semi trucks...cause the salons 45 minutes from the house - near Folsom.

Finished shopping today though! Hurray! Home to feed kittens, check emails, address cards, lunch, then go bye bye again.

You and your 300 friends have supported 2,838,479.6 square feet!

We're in Kingston now. Long drive - but we took some backroads, so it was reasonably enjoyable.

As they say in the movies "kiss kiss"

Everyone should check out that site about winter solstice and how practiced and its meaning in various cultures, going way back, architecture, song, etc.

Native Americans had winter solstice rites. The sun images at right are from rock paintings of the Chumash, who occupied coastal California for thousands of years before the Europeans arrived. Solstices were tremendously important to them, and the winter solstice celebration lasted several days.
